?? Have you ever set a goal, worked hard at it, and still felt unfulfilled when you reached it? That was me for years. I was achieving things that looked great on paper, but deep down, something felt off. The goals I was chasing weren’t truly aligned with who I was at my core. The missing piece? Intention. Try this 3-step exercise to set goals that feel aligned and meaningful: 1.????Ask yourself: "What feeling do I want to cultivate this year?" (Examples: Peace, confidence, abundance, energy) 2.????Turn that feeling into an intention: "I choose to prioritize [feeling] by [action]." (Example: "I cultivate confidence by taking action daily.") 3.????Align your goals with that intention: Instead of “Lose 10 lbs,” say "I honor my body with movement and nourishing foods." The path of self-love and personal growth When I was 22 years old, I graduated successfully in Communication & Digital marketing, was ready for the "real life" and found a job within the week. 1,5 years later: I knew how to become rich and successful, how to meet social expectations, but was unhappy and on the edge of a burnout. I was ready for a new adventure, to step in my true self. I wanted to sink down to my core, without masks, roles or expectations. Something that felt very scary. But why? Was I afraid of who I really am? Who I am in my vulnerable form? I started a never ending journey and promised myself to choose the path of self-love and personal growth. "Listen to your body when it whispers, so you don't have to hear it scream." After years of trainings in Holistic Health Coaching & therapy, Yoga, Reiki (form of energy healing) and experiences as meditating with monks in the North of Thailand, yoga training in the jungle of Mexico, ... I guide people to turn inwards, into their bodies out of their head through holistic coaching and body work. I give workshops combined with coaching and body-oriented therapy for you who long for a deeper connection with yourself. Title 2 Simple Habits Every Digital Solopreneur Needs to Stay Present and Calm in Unexpected Situations Without Feeling Overwhelmed "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present." - Bill Keane Focusing on the past or future is the biggest obstacle to living a fulfilling life. ? As a digital solopreneur, the journey is often lonely and challenging. Creating a one-person business demands resilience and the ability to handle unexpected situations with composure. However, dwelling on the past can be futile since it’s beyond change, and fixating too much on the future can lead to a constant sense of lack - the gap between where you are and where you want to be. To navigate these challenges, it’s crucial to develop habits that ground you in the present moment. While many find traditional meditation difficult, I’ve discovered two simple habits that make a significant difference: 1. Mindful Walks: Going for a walk and actively seeking out naturally occurring heart-shaped objects - be it rocks, leaves, stains, shadows, or clouds - can be incredibly grounding. This practice not only keeps me present but also serves as a gentle reminder that I am on the right path and not alone. Each heart-shaped find feels like an affirmation of being supported by the universe. 2. Breathing Exercises: Another powerful yet simple habit is practicing deep breathing exercises. Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I take a moment to focus on my breath. Inhale deeply for four counts, hold for four, and exhale for four. This technique calms my mind and brings me back to the present, allowing me to face challenges with a clear head. Embrace these simple yet effective habits and transform the way you handle the demands of your digital business. Yesterday, I pulled up my 2024 goals list from last January. With trepidation. ?? It’s been an amazing year, but what if there are goals on that list I’ve missed? ???? ?????? ???????? ???????????????? ???? ???????? ???? ???????? ?????????? ?????? ???????? ??????’???? ‘????????????’? ???? ???????? ???????? ???????????????? ???? ‘?????????? ????’ ???????????? ???????????????? ????? So instead of starting to check off goals, I decided to ask myself: ?? Am I still tying my worth to what I achieve? Is this still a remnant of my good girl conditioning? When we create space to listen, we see the familiar patterns. The voice that says “you're not doing enough” or “everyone else is ahead of you” is not your truth; it’s your conditioning. Meditation taught me to: ?? Notice these thoughts without believing them ?? Find safety in the present moment, not in achievement ?? Trust that my worth isn't measured by the boxes I check ?? Choose intention over overwhelm ???? ?????? ?????? ???? ???????????????? ?????? ?????????? – ?????? ?????????? ???????? ?????? ?????????? – ???????? ?? ?????????? ???? ?????????? ?????? ??????????????????, ???? ???????????? ?????????? ???? ?????? ??????????????????? Meditation is just one tool – though one of the most powerful ones – for cultivating the mindfulness and self-awareness needed to pursue what we truly want in life. ??Take Tiny Steps...?? Today, at the end of my weekly yin yoga and meditation class, I reached for the affirmation card that my yoga teacher had placed at the foot of my mat, just as she always does every week. As I turned the card over, I was greeted by the gorgeous illustration of a baby penguin bravely trekking up a mountain, while its companions could be seen in the near distance up ahead. The message, 'take tiny steps forward,' was written on the card and resonated deeply. It reminded me that our biggest aspirations can often feel daunting, like insurmountable peaks looming before us. But just as the baby penguin takes one tiny step at a time, we too can navigate our journeys with grace and resilience.? I realised that I was being invited to re-think the way I approach my goals. It’s not enough to get clear on where we want to go. We need to break down the path that lies ahead, into?tiny baby steps. When we break down our goals into manageable, bite-sized tasks, the seemingly impossible becomes achievable. We no longer feel threatened or overwhelmed by our goals either, since taking just one or two baby steps each day doesn’t run the risk of being all-consuming. For example, if you were planning to find a new job, your 2 tiny steps for today could include reviewing your resume and making one phone call to a friend for guidance and to act as a second set of eyes to look over it for you. You could break down the task of reviewing your resume even further, allocating some time to looking into new resume templates online, and even asking to read over a friend’s resume to gain further clarity on how you’d like to update yours.? This gentler approach of taking tiny baby steps each day works on the basis that success is cumulative and if we do something each day, no matter how small, we are going to see the results. It's an invitation to practice patience and be disciplined in the pursuit of our goals.????
