Hi everyone,today i want to talk briefly about clinical pharmacy -What is the clinical pharmacy? Clinical pharmacy is a specialized field within the pharmacy profession that focuses on direct patient care and optimizing medication therapy outcomes. Clinical pharmacists work as integral members of healthcare teams, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use. -Why is clinical pharmacy an important field in our lives? Because clinical pharmacists play a vital role in enhancing patient care by providing medication therapy management, patient education, and ensuring medication safety. Their expertise in pharmacotherapy and collaboration with healthcare teams contribute to improved patient outcomes and the overall quality of healthcare.

But within every setback lies a great opportunity for growth and resilience. You've worked tirelessly to reach this point, dedicating countless hours to your education and training. And while the road may feel uncertain at times, I urge you to stay the course and remain steadfast in your pursuit of excellence. Remember, the Phase II Match offers a second chance to find the perfect fit for your professional journey. It's a chance to explore new opportunities, forge meaningful connections, and ultimately, discover the path that aligns with your passions and aspirations. As someone who has personally faced Match Day failures, I've had the privilege of experiencing firsthand the incredible transformations that come with embracing resilience and determination. Our program at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center will be entering Phase II of the Match, with the aim of filling one vacant PGY1 pharmacy resident position. It's been a good week for pharmacy education. With the Wales CPD strategy consultation coming to a close and attending the Clinical Pharmacy Congress to build networks and learn about how we can support the pharmacy workforce whilst sharing learnings across sectors. With so much going on the key questions continue to move around how we can all implement workforce change in highly pressured systems.
