Exciting News from the Disabled Children’s Association (DCA) in Saudi Arabia! We're thrilled to share how DCA is harnessing the power of Moto Tiles to empower children with a diverse range of challenges. As a non-profit organization dedicated to providing rehabilitation and educational services for children with disabilities and their families, DCA is making incredible strides in enhancing the lives of young ones from infancy to 12 years old. Check out this heartwarming video from one of DCA’s Autism Training and Rehabilitation Programs, where Moto Tiles are ingeniously integrated into a multi-sensory room to engage children with autism. Witness how the Moto Tiles with lights and sounds serve as catalysts, inviting children into a world of play and exploration, fostering joy and self-expression in a safe and inclusive environment. At DCA, we observe the transformative power of play. Beyond the laughter and smiles, we observe remarkable collateral effects—educational achievements, motor skill enhancements, and cognitive and physical rehabilitation—emerging from these playful interactions. Scientific studies have underscored the rapid and profound improvements in both physical and cognitive abilities, particularly for individuals with cognitive impairments, through engagement with Moto Tiles. As advocates for the universal right to play, we believe it’s our collective responsibility to ensure that everyone, regardless of physical ability or socioeconomic status, has access to enriching play experiences. Yet, we must also question whether existing barriers, including economic constraints and technological divides, inadvertently limit this fundamental human right for some. Let's spark a conversation about the role of technology in fostering inclusivity and breaking down barriers to play. Does technological innovation truly bridge divides, or does it inadvertently widen the gap in our global society? Together, let's envision a future where every child, regardless of circumstance, can experience the joy and transformative power of play. Join us in celebrating the remarkable work of institutions such as DCA and other rehab institutions around the globe, and the boundless potential of play to uplift and empower children worldwide. Together, we can build a more inclusive and equitable future for all. #PlayForAll #InclusionMatters #EmpowerChildren

Welcome to "Include Me," a powerful initiative by The Autism Hero Project (AHP) that sheds light on the pressing need for inclusivity in our society. In this video, we explore the significance of inclusion, why it matters, and how each of us can contribute to making a positive difference. ?? What is Inclusion? Inclusion is about welcoming diversity with open arms. It's about creating a world where every individual, regardless of their differences, is valued, respected, and given equal opportunities to thrive. By embracing inclusion, we move beyond mere tolerance to celebrate the unique abilities, perspectives, and strengths that each person brings to the table and we're happy they're there. ?? Why Does Inclusion Matter? Inclusion is not just a buzzword; it's a fundamental human right. When we include individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, and neurodiversity, we foster a society that is richer, more compassionate, and more innovative. Inclusion empowers individuals with autism and other neurodiverse conditions to reach their full potential, while also benefiting society as a whole. ?? How Can You Make a Difference? You can be a part of the change! By watching this video and sharing it with others, you're already contributing to the cause. You also can work to make a conscious and intentional effort to create spaces and opportunities that foster a sense of belonging. Because where there is "Belonging" there is "Becoming". By fostering empathy and compassion you get to witness the limitless potential in everyone. Visit www.autismheroproject.org to learn more about our initiatives, resources, and ways to get involved. We also could not do this important work without your donations, collaborations and sponsorship. Please consider donating today. Understanding the distinction between learning disabilities and autism is crucial for fostering an inclusive environment. Here's a brief explanation: Learning Disabilities: These are neurologically-based processing problems that can interfere with learning basic skills such as reading, writing, or math. They can also affect higher-level skills such as organization, time planning, and abstract reasoning. Autism: A developmental disorder that affects communication, behavior, and social interaction. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) manifests in a variety of ways, and each individual has a unique profile of strengths and challenges. Awareness and understanding can lead to better support and opportunities for neurodivergent individuals. Let's work together to create an inclusive future. Discover how you can contribute at www.bridge2tomorrow.org. Your support can make a profound difference in the lives of neurodivergent kids. ?? #donate #puzzleboxacademy #inclusion

The world is harder when it is not designed for you . So, it is everyone's responsbility to make it easier for the individuals with ASD. Volunteering for a Special School helps make the world more inclusive and empathetic. For kids with Austism, such interactions with "outsiders" (people outside their family and teachers) helps build their social skills. At Alter Ego Community we integrate self-discovery with volunteering opportunities as means to bring the learnings and awareness into action all while creating a positive impact. The only requisite to be a part of the Alter Ego Community is curiousity. There is always so much to learn from. The world of Austism is free and oblivious. We can achieve the same freedom of our minds, if, with intent and curiosity, we become more aware of ourselves and our surroundings and learn to shut the noises and doubts. What the kids have with oblivion , you can get with awareness. Again, all it takes is curiosity. To know more, do more, and be more. Support to Para and Special Sports is our way of empowering the individuals with ASD to independence and fitness, and raising awareness and acceptance of Autism in the society in large. Flui Technologies has partnered with Autism NI, our Charity Of The Year 2024, to bring increased awareness to autism and people affected by it. April 2024 being World Autism Acceptance Month, we're highlighting a few statistics from Northern Ireland, where Autism NI is based. Did you know: -> 1 in 20 children have a diagnosis of autism (2023, DHSSPS). -> The NI Census 2021 recorded that there are 35,367 adults and children with an autism diagnosis. -> There are approximately three males diagnosed with autism for every one female diagnosed. ->?Waiting times for diagnosis in Northern Ireland have topped 3 years. ->?Only 21.7% of autistic people are in employment despite autistic people having the ability, skills, and will to be employed. To know more and to find out how you can help, visit our Autism NI charity webpage – https://lnkd.in/ezNjfY4c. Let's make ourselves more aware on how we can “be kind to different minds”. ? #Autism #AutismNI #FluiTechnologies #Charity #WorldAutismAcceptanceMonth Sorcha Mathews Ben Scott

It’s so disheartening trying to write grants for autism inclusion for autistic-led and founded organizations. Writing for higher education is one thing, but now writing for the non-profit is a whole other game. When I wrote millions in grants for Mellon, they would bend over backwards to make the process accessible for the neurodivergent crowd. I just received a “we discourage you from applying” email from a huge local institution for a program that hits three of the four programming goals of the organization (including the supposed ever-important regional proximity). How can they not be interested in something that covers three of their four foci? I get it…you want safe. But nothing innovative was EVER made out of safety and status quo. And the kids and teens of Flint & the surrounding Genesee County, with their lack of diagnosis, ABIs, and complete lack of social infrastructure for neurodivergents, will get the resources THEY DESERVE. It’s time to get creatively risky again. This world needs REAL innovation and change that serves the people it claims to serve…not sure bets of good feelings and quick returns for the landed gentry. Autistic suicide and mortality rates CANNOT wait. I’m still on track to make Genesee County Neuroinclusive by 2035. We WILL do this.

This year, both #GivingTuesday and International Day of Persons with Disabilities (#DisabilityDay #IDPD) fall on Dec. 3. Through our work, we’re transforming the lives of more than 17,000 people with developmental disabilities and their families daily. Catalight is a non-profit motivated by creating access to meaningful care that breaks down barriers and biases to create a more equitable world for people with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Given the massive increase of autism prevalence and industry shortage of experts to deliver informed diagnoses, families of children with developmental disabilities face up to two-year waits for evaluation. Our goal continues to be to eliminate such waits. By expanding diagnostic networks and removing cost barriers, we aim to ensure every child is evaluated within 10 days. We provide funding so no parent has to wait to understand their child’s needs. After diagnosis, we're here with personalized treatment options to guide the next steps of care. Please consider helping us drive real change during this special time of year and beyond: https://lnkd.in/exx_kn8Z

We’re proud to launch Lambeth’s new All Age Autism Strategy 2024/2027 ??? ? It sets out our new approach to improving the lives of autistic people of all ages and their families in our borough. It is part of our commitment to becoming a borough of equity and justice so everyone has equitable opportunities. We recognise that autism is a lifelong condition and one of many neurodiverse conditions, meaning individuals could have multiple neurodiverse conditions. ? We partnered with autistic residents and their families, Lambeth Together, local groups from our Voluntary and Community sector and businesses to get their invaluable input on how best to support our autistic residents and their families. And we will continue to work closely with them over the next three years to implement the strategy.? We're delighted to have secured £240k funding from South East London Integrated Care System to support this work. Applications for grant funding of up to £15,000 are now available to local voluntary and community sector organisations, charities, and other eligible organisations running initiatives and projects to support autistic people in the borough. ? Our new strategy sets out our shared vision and emphasises the importance of understanding, acceptance, and inclusion. As part of our approach, we’ve set out seven key priorities:??? ? ?Priority 1: Improving understanding and acceptance of autism within society?? ?Priority 2: Improving autistic children and young people’s access to education and supporting positive transition into adulthood?? ?Priority 3: Supporting more autistic individuals into employment??? ?Priority 4: Tackling health and care inequalities for autistic individuals?? ?Priority 5: Building the right support in the community and supporting in Inpatient Care?? ?Priority 6: Improving support with the criminal and youth justice system??? ?Priority 7: Local initiative: Understanding, valuing, and helping parents and carers in their role and as partners?
