Clinico-genomic data management company PT Asa Ren Global Nusantara has continued on Dec. 2 the work for a 5-year general population sample collection program which aims to collect biological samples, phenotype data and disease-specific records from a large population sample. The activity is a collaborative effort that will enhance Indonesia's Data Registry and Health Record, facilitating the analysis of large-scale genomic data and is conducted in cooperation with the National Biomedical and Genomic Health Center (BB Binomika), a management unit (UPT) under the Health Ministry. “We hope the collaboration can improve Indonesia's healthcare system through the utilization of genomic data,” Asa Ren founder and chief executive officer Aloysius Liang said in a statement on Monday. A huge thank you to dr. Lonah, SpFK, and dr. Mario Abet Nego, SpFK, for their in-depth and engaging sessions on the Fundamentals of Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics. Their presentations provided practical insights into how pharmacogenomics can be applied in everyday clinical practice, helping health professionals better understand how genetic factors influence drug response. This knowledge is essential in delivering personalized treatment plans that can improve patient outcomes. I’m also thrilled about the launch of the SatuDNA platform—integrated into the Ministry of Health’s SatuSehat app—allowing Indonesians to instantly access their pharmacogenomics reports. This is a game-changer for healthcare in Indonesia!
