CCC Registered Apprenticeship Program is thrilled to announce we’ve teamed up with Lakeview High School to offer Nebraska Department of Labor Youth Apprenticeships. Juniors in high school would have opportunities for on the job training in Welding and Mechatronics, while taking a skill and technical focused curriculum at school. The apprentice would be treated as a part time employee with hour restrictions. These provide youth a practical pathway while exposing them to an industry they plan on pursuing as a career. DOL Youth Apprenticeships also allows 16 & 17 year olds to work in a manufacturing setting, giving your company a chance to develop your way. Four A.O. Smith employees officially recently signed their apprenticeship agreements with TCAT Dickson's Clarksville Campus allowing them to attend college as full-time students during the day while working full-time jobs on second shift. Apprenticeships Provide Opportunities for Machine Trades Students The second-year curriculum for Machine Trades Program students at New Castle Career Center (NCCC) includes the opportunity for apprenticeships with local partners, such as Crown Equipment and Kent Machine. These apprenticeships allow students to apply foundational knowledge learned in their first year to real-world careers. Students work four days a week at their apprenticeships and spend one day a week in class. Read More:
