When we let ourselves dream – about possibilities, connections, and new adventures – we create a space for creativity and positivity to grow. So this season, as you look at festive lights and larger-than-life blow-ups, ask yourself: What’s one way I can invite more imagination into my life? What big dream can I light up for 2025? Let’s keep the spirit alive all year long – more in ‘24, and thriving in ‘25!

As I walk through my downtown neighborhood this weekend, I can’t help but wonder: how many of the people passing by me voted to strip away the human and civil rights of others? But I’m not sharing this to dwell on despair. If there was ever a time to unite and resist hate, it’s now. Let this be a call to action—a reminder that hope is not lost: The recent decisions were not a landslide. Many people stand for justice and equity. Not everyone supports hate. There are countless allies waiting to be inspired and guided. It’s easy to feel like giving up. Things seem so dire, and the fear is real. But we cannot let that paralyze us—because those caught in the wake of his wrath don’t have the option to bow out. We cannot abandon them. Far too many privileged people feel like they’ll be personally unaffected, and this false sense of security might passify them against resistance. We must challenge that apathy. What can we do? Educate yourself. Turn to experts in human rights, equity, and history for accurate, reliable information. Resist hate. Actively oppose bigotry, racism, and inequity in every form. Speak out against it. Teach the truth. Share honest and complete narratives about systemic racism, discrimination, and oppression with everyone you know. This is not the time to stand still. It’s the time to stand strong. Together, we can create a future that embraces equity and justice. Stay motivated. Stay hopeful. Resist.
