#AdobeStudentRep #AdobeCampusLife #MadeInExpress #BrandPartner #AbstractArt Depictions - Part 2/3 Hello, everyone! This is the next installment of an experiment to see how “Effects”, “Adjustments”, and other features of #AdobeExpress can change your interpretation of an image. In this case, I experimented with the concept of importance through an abstract perspective. "1." to "3." were specifically inspired by #movies and #televisionshows. The following are four depictions of importance: 1. COLD & CALCULATING ?? I added a dark blue “Tint” to the image ?? “Highlights” were maximized, while other “Adjustments” were lowered significantly ?? “Sharpness” was added ?? Black bars were added to simulate a cinematic effect ?? The lighting gives a somber appearance 2. CLAUSTROPHOBIC ??♂? No “Tint” was added ?? “Contrast”, “Brightness”, and “Saturation” were lowered significantly ??? The black bars increased in size, reducing the overall view of the speaker and audience ?? The lighting gives a dramatic appearance 3. DESOLATE ?? I added a greenish-brown “Tint” to the image ?? “Warmth” was significantly increased, while other “Adjustments” were lowered ??? “Blur” was added ??♂? Black bars were omitted ?? The lighting gives an ominous appearance 4. CONFIDENCE ?? I added a yellow “Tint” to the image, with “Intensity” set to low ?? “Sharpness” was added ?? Most “Adjustments” were increased ??? Lighting was made to appear natural What do you think of my interpretations? The #graphic of this post was made using Adobe Express, a product of Adobe. Adobe fan? Here’s something you should know: Adobe recently updated its Terms of Service, and it’s causing quite a stir. If you’re already familiar with what happened in the creative community last week, you can skip and suggest your opinion in comment”. Otherwise, I’ll explain it briefly: A pop-up window surprised Adobe users last week asking them to agree to new terms, including a change stating that Adobe “may access your content through both automated and manual methods, such as for content review”. The creative community claims that the new terms give Adobe permission to access users’ work, and to train AI models with it. A few days later, Adobe released a blog post clarifying it isn’t training Fireflight, its AI model, with user content and that it doesn’t claim the rights to any content created with its software. -------- What a wild moment. After paying a monthly subscription they want to own your creative & your entire body of work. Shame on?Adobe! ---------- As an artist, I’m glad to see that many other companies are building new softwares and challenging the “Adobe way” to develop professional software for the creative community. Here’s a list of apps that I trust: Affinity Designer or?Figma?instead of Illustrator Affinity Photo instead of Photoshop Fable,?Rive, and?Cavalry?instead of After Effects DaVinci Resolve instead of Premiere — ????♂?I am Tatwarth Kala, I did an MFA in Applied Arts, I am a founder of a creative agency and we are experts in 3D/ 2D animations and graphic design. ??????I enjoy posting regular content about Creative and visuals ??Like what you see? ?? Some time ago I wrote about Adobe and them being sued by US gov. I mentioned that there are a bunch of equivalents to the Adobe software like Affinity. 2 days ago, CEO of Affinity - Ashley Hewson - announced that they are making Affinity even more accessible by giving us free SIX MONTHS trial ??! No strings attached! You can still use it even if you already used your trial period before. I don't really care if it's a marketing campaign using time where Adobe is in the lowest or if it's because they can afford it because they were now a member of Canva. But I think it's a great move! It gives people, who were on a fence enough time to not only check the software out, but also learn it during that period! Tbh I watch what the Affinity is doing recently with much interest. I think they might be one of the biggest competition for Adobe on the market right now. I'm also thinking to switch to their software completely (I bought the v2 of their package not long after the premiere) and leave Adobe behind. Not sure if it's possible right now, but maybe in a few months. Will see how this will go. https://lnkd.in/dFXbykbt

You know, Adobe manages to upset most of the creatives within the industry when this happens. ???? Intellectual Property is not something that can be shift-deleted overnight with sketchy T&C's ruining the trust built over three decades.????? Competing companies are like vultures; as soon as they find a strategic gap, they will charge for the prey regardless of their adversaries' size. ?????? Quote from the received email: "No obligation to buy, no payment details required to sign up. With all the discourse in the creative community at the minute, we’ve had quite a few mentions on social media and in the press naming Affinity as one of the best alternatives for those looking to switch up their photo editing and design software – which has of course been absolutely amazing to see. But as you may already know, switching software can be time-consuming, especially for busy professionals, and potential customers have said they’d value an extended trial period to get used to the differences and really take the time to see what Affinity can do. That’s why we’ve decided to do something unprecedented in the industry and extend our trial period to six months (yes, six whole months!). So if you’ve been eyeing up our other products, or platforms, now is the perfect time to test them out and experience the full power of Affinity without any strings attached – no subscription requirement, no obligation to buy at a later date. You don’t even have to enter your card details again to take the trial. We’ve also decided to reset all trials, so if you have already tried our other software before but didn’t buy for whatever reason, you can give it another go! And this offer isn’t just for Affinity users; it’s available to absolutely anyone. So if you have any friends, family and colleagues who may be interested, please of course spread the word." I'm curious about the future plans of Canva and Affinity and how Adobe views these actions. ?? #VARatelier | #CreativeThinker | #Adobe | #Canva | #Affinity | #IntellectualProperty | #IP | #businessCulture | #Marketing

According to Adobe Create my Creative Type is 'The Maker'. It sums me up perfectly: - My creative strengths are my focus and dedication - Finding joy and play in the process is my untapped potential (I know, I can be too serious - hello concentration face!) - One of the hardest workers of all the types, the Maker is almost always busy solving problems - A?quiet type, I enjoy collaboration but generally prefer to work alone to focus on my own creative process - I'm not afraid to do the unglamorous legwork that goes into building something of value over time (100% love the 'unglam') Find out yours here - https://lnkd.in/ezR2-DTb. And also see which other creative types can bring out the best in you.
