"The General Theory of Management" - development and implementation. CEO & Founder "Armenian Academy of Management". Fast, non-contextual and large-scale organizational changes.

?How do we talk about the elephant in the room?? ? Let's talk about "the elephant in the room". The main "the elephant in the room" is the "Management Paradigm". It is the modern "Management Paradigm" that is the main reason for the appearance of entire herds of "the elephant in the room". It is the Modern "Management Paradigm" that is purposefully engaged in destroying Technical Specialists, turning them into illiterate managers. As a result, the organization loses a competent Technical Specialist and lose the opportunity to hire a competent manager. The longer an organization exists, the greater the proportion of illiterate people and the lower the proportion of literate people. Until we change the moribund "Modern Management Paradigm," elephants will continue to multiply, displacing everyone else.

Poor leadership kills more businesses than anything! Often because we don’t deal with the elephants. It’s there, we all know it, in corridors we discuss it openly. Yet, in the forums that matter we ignore it. Pretending it doesn’t matter, that it’ll go away, it’s not that big a deal, it’ll pass & the list of excuses go on. In the 1960s the UK Law Lords studied corporate insolvencies. Two findings stuck out. One of the biggest indicators of a business that went insolvent was a ‘corporate fountain’ as it indicated a disconnect with the real world. The second, no matter how complex the matter at hand, someone somewhere in the business knew what the issue was, AND, how to fix it. Let that sink in. Whatever the problem we are having - the likelihood is that someone in the business knows how to fix it. The problem? We don’t listen, we don’t ask, we ignore the elephant. And these aren’t isolated incidents, Boeing, Kodak, Blockbuster, Toys-R-Us….and many more. If we can’t fix this, maybe we do deserve to be replaced by AI? After all the difference should be our humanity & ability to be relentless inquisitive. How do we talk about the elephant in the room? ————————————————————————————- I work with business leaders to develop bespoke #strategy that works, by embedding #sustainability, driving impactful #growth & delivering competitive #advantage.
