Roy Rogers said, "The greatest legacy we can leave our children is happy memories." Absolutely! But those cherished memories are best built on a foundation of security. For veterans and active military personnel, that security comes through thoughtful estate planning, including the potential benefits of a trust. Deployment and service can bring periods of uncertainty. A well-crafted trust can provide peace of mind knowing your family's financial needs are met, even if you're away or incapacitated. Here's how a trust can benefit you and your loved ones: Streamlined Distribution: Bypassing the lengthy and costly probate process, a trust allows for a smoother and more efficient distribution of your assets to your loved ones. This translates to quicker access to the financial resources they need during a difficult time. Tax-Saving Strategies: Depending on the type of trust you choose, you may be able to minimize estate taxes, preserving more of your wealth for future generations to enjoy. Peace of Mind: Knowing your loved ones have the financial resources they need, even during your absence or a period of incapacity, allows you to focus on serving your country and creating those cherished memories with your family. Don't let the challenges of deployment or future uncertainties overshadow the happy memories you create with your family. Schedule a consultation with us today to discuss incorporating a trust into your estate plan. We're dedicated to helping you build a secure foundation for a lifetime of happy memories. #veteranlegacy #militaryfamily #financialplanning #estateplanning #trusts

Over the past three years, I've witnessed a disregard for veterans' rights. We're told there isn't enough funding to provide: - Safe housing - Proper medical and psychological care - Long-term financial support - Effective job training - And much more... Meanwhile, our country allocates billions for ammunition and military supplies to support foreign causes. The issue is clear: millions of documented veterans struggle with addiction, depression, financial hardship, and homelessness. Many suffer in silence, unaware of the extent of our challenges. It's time for change. We served our country; now it's time for our country to serve us. I ask our nation's leaders: when will your own people become a priority? Patriotism starts at the heart of your own people. In the coming years, I aim to collaborate closely with Republican Party of Florida Office of US Senator Marco Rubio and Ron DeSantis Governor DeSantis to develop immediate and sustainable solutions for Florida's veterans and their families. With determination and faith, we can make a meaningful impact, and I pledge to do my part.

Attention all advocates for veterans' rights! DAV stands in full support of S. 3452, the Fred Hamilton Veterans’ Lost Records Act. This crucial legislation aims to ensure that veterans, whose military records were tragically lost by the U.S. government, can still access the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits they rightfully earned. Click here to TAKE ACTION --> https://lnkd.in/eR7V4f_U Following the devastating 1973 fire at the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) in St. Louis, which destroyed the records of nearly 16 million veterans, the VA established a regulatory process to assist those affected. However, S. 3452 seeks to expand this process to include all veterans whose records were lost by the VA or the Department of Defense. The passage of S. 3452 would be a monumental step forward in rectifying past injustices and providing much-needed support to our nation's veterans. By granting disability claims using alternative evidence such as previous medical disability exams or credible buddy statements, this legislation ensures that veterans are not unfairly burdened due to circumstances beyond their control. Please in advocating for S. 3452. Contact your Senators today and urge them to co-sponsor this vital legislation. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our veterans, their families, survivors, and caregivers. Yesterday, Senator Jon Tester, Chair of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee spoke to American Legion members about issues impacting our nations #veterans. As a staunch supporter of the GUARD Act, he spoke about the importance of protecting veterans from predatory and fraudulent actors and ensuring veterans disability benefits remain in the pockets of veterans - not publicly traded corporations profiting on our service members. I had the unique opportunity to speak with his staff prior and, during our discussion, I asked what they most wanted to see from our membership. I’m paraphrasing the answer, but essentially, they requested our membership contact the Senator’s staff more frequently and share their concerns. If you are concerned about The American Legion’s inconsistent messaging on fees-for-initial-claims, say that. If you’re concerned about access to burial plots, say that. If you’re concerned about concurrent receipt, say that. Today, Legionnaires have the opportunity to bring their states voice to The Hill and properly represent their communities. Don’t be afraid to have the tough conversations and don’t be afraid to ask the tough questions. Happy Advocating! ___________________ Not in DC? That’s okay! Take your concerns to local staff in your home state. That’s what they’re there for!! ?? #veteransaffairs #veteransbenefits #advocacy #foreignpolicy #veteransstrengtheningamerica #betheone
