? Last years' AI Hack Melb 23 was a lot of fun and nothing made us happier than seeing some of the winning teams starting real companies afterwards. So we've decided it's time for the next round. And to double the fun, we'll make it multi city: in Melbourne and Sydney simultaneously. ? So what's the hackathon about? AI and Energy. Where: Melbourne & Sydney When: Team formation day (6 April), Final pitch night (8 May) ? Renewables are key to Australia's journey to carbon net-zero, but do not produce electricity in a predictable, reliable fashion. That's where energy storage comes onto the scene. ??? ?? Green Battery Hackathon 2024 This event will be all about the intersection of AI and the Australian energy market. In particular, teams will develop an AI model to control a simulated battery that is connected to the national energy grid. We expect the outcome of this simulation to help us better understand the impact batteries will have on the Australian energy market and help inform future policy.
