Planning conditions can come in all shapes and sizes. However, what doesn’t change is our ability to resolve them. This case study was led by Callum Brewer, Principal Planning Consultant. TOP PADDOCK FARM We were commissioned in March 2022 by J.D. RICHMOND & SON LIMITED to undertake a noise impact assessment to discharge Condition 3 of the planning permission (ref: DC/17/1166) by Horsham District Council for the “Proposed erection of a machinery/hay store, a building to incorporate a dairy parlour and milk processing facilities, associated hardstanding areas and access track” at Top Paddock Farm, Kerves Lane, Horsham RH13 6RJ. The proposed use includes 2 milking machines operational for one hour between 07:00 and 08:00. Early morning 7’O Clock, 40 people in our team will go to the farm for procuring the coconuts and gather them in one place, a day before dehusking. Then the main picture comes up, After procuring and gathering the coconuts, 45 people in our team will go the farm at 6’O Clock and starts to dehusk the coconuts slowly. This Month, Mayor Cherelle Parker delivered her much-anticipated budget address to the City Council to begin the budget process for her first term. In her speech, she asserted that we need to get the basics right when it comes to cleaning and greening. In the opinion of Nic Esposito, Circular Philadelphia's Director of Policy and Engagement and former Director for the City of Philadelphia's Zero Waste and Litter Cabinet, this budget gets the basics of cleaning and greening *wrong*. Nic critiques this budget for more than doubling(!!) the amount we are spending on reactionary efforts to address litter and dumping - such as increased litter clean-up and the politicization of illegal dumping clean-up crews for every council district. Instead of just critiquing, Nic provides a few proactive measures that have been proven to show results! These include: - Increasing code enforcement to regulate and hold industries accountable for dumping - Modernizing and expanding our sanitation convenience centers, and - Reducing the number of vacant lots in the city through activation.
