Bet you didn't know that captaining a pickleball team is like running logistics.
Our new league here requires captains to coordinate 9 matches against an opposing team such that each player plays exactly 3 matches (and not with the same partners). Teams must have 2 women and 2 men and 6 total players. We have 3 courts to use and technically 1.5 hours to play. The first four matches are dictated as a women's doubles, a men's doubles and 2 mixed doubles. The rest are open.
Go!
It's been a challenge to figure out the timing, let alone the matchups. But, because we love the game, we're working through it.
(Good thing we have our teambuilding rotations down to a science!! Everyone mixes in with everyone else for learning, drilling, and "competition".)
Thanks to Skipper Mervin, CFE, PMC-III, our league coordinator, for helping us figure this out.
