There is one essential accounting task to complete before going live with NetSuite. Make sure your bank and credit card reconciliations are caught up.Otherwise…It will be very challenging to reconcile these accounts in NetSuite. Why? The historical GL activity will be loaded as one monthly balance. But, to clear the bank reconciliation, you need each transaction posted. To get around this, you typically create a suspense account. But that adds extra noise to the GL. The best way to avoid this problem: Reconcile your bank and credit card every month. Let's talk about loading those historical intercompany balances efficiently. 1?? Review your current consolidated financial statements. 2?? Adjust the GL account mapping based on elimination requirements. 3?? Load each subsidiary's financial statements with a journal entry. 4?? Prepare the advanced intercompany entries. 5??
