Here's my 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor.studio: 2024: When Code Becomes a Catalyst for Change ?? This year taught me that true innovation isn't just about elegant algorithms—it's about solving real-world challenges. As a software development student, I discovered that technology's most powerful function is bridging gaps and amplifying unheard voices. My @saraelkhabbaty campaign for fibromyalgia awareness wasn't just a project; it was a mission to challenge perceptions and support those with hidden disabilities. Key Milestones: ? Completed Software Engineering internship at El Sewedy Electrometer Group ? Led refugee student tutoring program (20+ weekly hours, 20% grade improvement!) ? Selected as Peer Helper, supporting 700+ prospective students ? Accepted to Yale University Young African Scholars residential summit Three Moments that Defined My Year: 1. Yale Young African Scholars Acceptance Community support transforms dreams into reality. As I shared: "This wouldn't have happened without the help, assistance, and inspiration I had from incredible mentors and peers." https://lnkd.in/dD7eTgyb 2. Techne Summit: Connecting Tech Innovators "Yesterday, I had the *most epic* time at Techne Summit 2024 in Cairo. Seriously, it was like a tech wonderland!" https://lnkd.in/dBn6KQQX 3. NU E-Club Season 3: Building Future Leaders Reflecting on community and growth: "This is the most emotional moment I have ever had by closing a season..." https://lnkd.in/d78mARZ8 Looking to 2025: I'm expanding our fibromyalgia awareness campaign and diving deeper into software development. My goal? Prove that technology and advocacy aren't separate paths—they're most powerful when intertwined. To my mentors at El Sewedy International School for Applied Technology & Software, and everyone supporting our mission: your belief fuels our progress. ?? #LinkedInRewind #TechForGood #SocialImpact #YouthLeadership #2024Wrapped -- Get your 2024 LinkedIn Rewind! Having fun while achieving amazing goals? Yes…it is possible! Last week, I had the opportunity to participate in my first #Hackathon experience at TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology and Tallinn University and made it made it to the Top 3 Winners, earning: ?? €1,000 – Awarded by EdTech Estonia ??? Non-Monetary Awards – Bonsay Technologies and EdTech Estonia???? Our idea ?? ?ppesild: revolutionizing education to make it accessible and empowering for everyone. Our team, led by Hend Khatab and my amazing teammates Jacob Sola?a and Nina Petrushkova tackled educational gaps for autistic children by proposing an AI-powered solution for personalized learning. This approach emphasized delivering positive feedback to support educational progress and foster inclusivity in education. Here are some quick notes ?? I took during the event: 1. We don’t worry about what big companies are doing because they’re already doing it—sometimes, even a high schooler can have a groundbreaking idea. 2. Are we truly learning, or are we just clicking? 3. Design with intention and purpose. 4. If you’re not failing, you’re not innovating. 5. Failing is part of the process—embrace it and learn from it. 6. Basic structure for a pitch: ? Who? Team composition and relevant background. ? What? What are you working on? ? Why? What is your purpose? ? Ask: What do you need? More people? Funding? Resources? #edtechhackathon #accessibility #design #technology #aiss https://lnkd.in/erwtYbdR

?? Rural Science Empowerment Through Hands-On Learning! ?? In partnership with Techieride, an NGO devoted to empowering students and enriching education, we conducted a hands-on workshop for 6th and 7th-grade students of Vangoor Government High School. With a focus on problem-solving and an application-centric approach, the workshop aimed to show how science concepts connect to everyday life. The results were beyond inspiring: ? Over 100 students participated. ? What started as one question during the first experiment turned into 300+ questions by the end of the 16th experiment. Curiosity skyrocketed! ? During lunch, 25 students surrounded me, eager to understand more. They skipped part of their playtime to ask questions about the experiments. It was a powerful reminder that motivating kids to ask questions can unlock an endless world of possibilities. We organized the students into 16 groups, each supported by B.Ed trainee teachers and Techieride volunteers. This collaborative effort ensured personalized guidance and vibrant engagement. This was, without a doubt, one of the best workshops I’ve ever conducted. Watching the students’ curiosity grow and their problem-solving skills blossom was truly magical. Big thanks to Techieride and everyone involved for making this workshop a reality. Together, we’re planting seeds of innovation and learning in young minds. #STEMEducation #EmpoweringYouth #CuriosityDrivenLearning #Techieride #EncourageQuestioning

Going to university should help us be more creative and sharpen our minds, but I feel like the opposite happens sometimes. I get more into advanced tech stuff during semester breaks, but when the semester starts, it feels like there’s a gap. There’s no excitement left, and my mind doesn’t feel as creative anymore. Hackathons, on the other hand, are always exciting for me. They’re open-ended, with no fear of failure, and the community is so welcoming. You can share any idea without feeling judged or questioned. I know academia has its own strengths, but sometimes I wish it encouraged more creativity like hackathons do. Communities like iCodeGuru , Headstarter , and lablab.ai have a phenomenal effect on the visions of students like me, pushing us to think bigger and be more creative. Does anyone else feel this way? How do you keep your creative spark alive during university days? #UniversityLife #academia #Creativity

?? I can do IT! Back in my graduation class at school, I taught myself the basics of HTML. Among other things, I loved seeing the direct results when building a website. When I announced to a befriended CEO of a software company how much fun it was and that I considered studying computer science, he said: “There are people who can do what you do in no time and way better than you. Don’t waste your time.” Discouraged, I listened to him and gave up on my idea. Just like a young plant, an idea needs to be nurtured and protected. Sometimes, sharing it too early can expose it to others who might stomp on it before it has a chance to grow. Now, almost two decades later, I applied at TechLabs Hamburg. ?? And I was accepted for the upcoming summer term 2024. Their claim: “We at TechLabs Hamburg dream of a world with no digital illiterates. A world full of tech-savvy individuals who approach the challenges of our time with a digital and entrepreneurial mindset. In order to achieve this, we aim to turn as many young people as possible into Digital Shapers, and teach them the skills they need tomorrow.“ I learned about TechLabs through Julia Imlauer, who was a mentor herself. ?? Thanks to Lena John and Anselm Fehnker, I found the courage to apply. Lena explained different #IT jobs during a valuable master class at the CHEFTREFF event, encouraging especially young women to consider an IT job. Thank you, Lena, for the bag with the encouraging words “You can do IT”. ?? And thank you, Anselm, for your assessment of how this could be useful for developing the prototype for the VeRiseApp. As a founder, understanding the #tech side early on is extremely beneficial. It not only helps in better assessing the effort required for various tasks but also provides stability in case a technical partner is temporarily unavailable for any reason. ?? My goal is to understand and speak the language that my team is speaking. ?? Also, I want to dive deeper into the topic of #AI, which absolutely fascinates me. Thank you for this exciting opportunity, TechLabs Hamburg! ??

Last week, while at the ad shoot for #ClassSaathi, I found myself in a classroom that brought back a flood of memories from my school days. A notebook, scribbled with notes, had a Class Saathi clicker placed on it—two generations of learning side by side. It struck me how much education has transformed. From chalkboards to interactive displays, from handwritten notes to #AI-powered insights, the essence remains the same: empowering students. But now, it’s smarter, faster, and more engaging than ever before. This #InternationalDayofEducation, here’s to embracing technology that doesn’t just teach but inspires. #ClassSaathi isn’t just a product—it’s a step toward classrooms that nurture creativity, spark innovation, and make learning unforgettable. How do you see education evolving in the next decade? Let’s talk! TagHive Inc. #InternationalDayOfEducation #ClassSaathi #EdTech #LearningRedefined #FutureOfEducation
