Stay Ahead: Important 10DLC Compliance Deadline Approaching As we enter a period of reflection and planning for the coming year, it's crucial to stay up-to-date with evolving industry regulations. Ensure your important messages reach your audience without interruption. ?? Optimize deliverability and engagement rates. ??? Avoid unnecessary fees and stay within carrier regulations. Need Assistance? Navigating the registration process can be complex, but I'm here to help you every step of the way. ?? 10DLC Campaign Rejections: How to Avoid Some of the Most Common Pitfalls ?? I’ve been posting a lot about AI recently, but with all the changes and updates happening in the SMS and Business Messaging world, I thought it deserved its own post to share some of my thoughts... Once again the deadline for TOTAL 10DLC registration has been pushed back to February 1 2025 (meaning any unregistered traffic after Feb. 1 will have larger chances of being rejected, higher carrier pass-through fees as well as steep fines). Luckily, my team and I have made sure that almost all of our US-traffic customers were fully registered long ago, but if you haven't had the chance yet (or your current CPaaS provider is dragging their feet) or if you've been dealing with campaign rejections, I think this post might help out a bit. Many rejections are preventable if you understand what the mobiles carriers are looking for. Here are some of the more common reasons why campaigns can be rejected: 1?? Misalignment in Campaign & Content details 2?? Vague or incomplete Call to Action (CTA) 3?? Ambiguous opt-in processes 4?? Missing opt-out instructions 5?? Including prohibited SHAFT-C content 6?? Missing Privacy Policy & Terms of Service Swipe through for some more details and tips! ?? Have you faced any of these challenges? Do you have any other good tips to share with the community? I'd love to chat and discuss further! (P.S. Share this with your network—someone might need it. ??) #sms #10dlc #thecampaignregistry

?? Jan 27 Is Almost Here: Are Your SMS Campaigns Compliant? ?? Time’s running out to align with the FCC’s new one-to-one consent rules. As The SMS Coach, I’ve seen businesses face costly mistakes because of unclear regulations, and I want to ensure that doesn’t happen to you. Here’s what you need to know—and what you can’t afford to ignore: ?? No More Broad Consents If you’re relying on consent collected by a lead generator or comparison-shopping site, they won’t cut it anymore. The new rules require consumers to give clear, specific permission for YOUR business to contact them. Source: https://lnkd.in/dR_j3_Z2 ?? P2P Messaging Still Counts Think you’re in the clear because you use peer-to-peer messaging? Think again. The law focuses on the content of your messages, not the technology you use to send them. Marketing messages still need written consent. Source: https://lnkd.in/dUQ_8NF9 ?? Old Consents Might Not Comply Got a bunch of consents from years ago? Double-check. Starting January 27, all telemarketing messages must meet the new standards, no matter when you got the original opt-in. Source: https://lnkd.in/dUQ_8NF9 ?? What You Can Do Right Now: 1?? Audit Your Consent Records: Make sure you’ve got explicit, written, one-to-one consents for YOUR business. 2?? Update Your Processes: Get your opt-in forms and workflows up to speed with the new rules. 3?? Empower Your Team: Train your staff so they know exactly how to stay compliant—and avoid costly mistakes. ?? Non-compliance risks include lawsuits, fines, and losing customer trust—issues no business can afford in 2025. Want to make sure your SMS campaigns are ready? Contact me at [email protected] or DM me here to schedule a 30-minute call to discuss your needs and how I can help. ?? What’s your biggest compliance challenge right now? Drop a comment or message me—let me know! ?? #SMSCompliance #TCPA2025 #TheSMSCoach #FCC #Consent #DigitalMarketing #CommercialMessaging #CPaaS

On April 4, 2024, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) updated its regulations on robocalls and robotexts to give consumers more control over the calls they receive. These changes are part of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Key changes include: Clearer ways to opt out:?Consumers can now revoke their consent to receive robocalls or robotexts using any reasonable method, such as phone calls, emails, or text messages. Faster response times:?Businesses must now process opt-out requests within a reasonable timeframe. Defining the scope of opt-outs:?Businesses must clarify the types of calls or texts a consumer is opting out of to ensure their wishes are respected. These new rules aim to make it significantly easier for consumers to protect themselves from unwanted calls and texts.
