Why is Line 2 doing Line 1 work? Can 2LoD do 1LoD work? Should 2nd Line do what 1st Line do? Well it’s like at a beach… You’re the Line 2 team and swimming Between the red and yellow flags. But sometimes the current takes you And you stray outside the flags. But you always end up swimming Back in between the flags. If you’re in Line 2 and need to help Line 1 Why not do what it is needed? After all, your job is to help The business achieve its objectives. Why would you let Line 1 fail? Sure helping Line 1 could mean: - They are under resourced - They are not experienced enough - There are other competing priorities - They haven’t been educated what to do But that’s not a reason not to help out a colleague. If you’re in Line 2 and you stray beyond the flags Just remember it is okay. You’re one team.
