I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a summer training at Abu Qir Petroleum Company. This experience was beneficial and rewarding, as it allowed me to apply the theoretical knowledge I gained in the classroom to real-world scenarios. I participated in a diverse program that aimed to enhance my skills and understanding of the oil and gas sector. My vision to become an offshore production engineer ??♀? grants me a wake up mind of always taking my studies and team work serious. As part of my quest to really see how oil and gas industries operate, GNPC who basically are into upstream granted me an opportunity to do my internship with them. This opportunity exposed me to a lot of knowledge and skills and made me appreciate the quiddity of working in a team . Part of my duty as an intern was to regularly submit myself to be taught…… we worked with alot of data from the field to sum up with careful analysis ?? of how the GoR , API gravity , pressures and the formation velocities per day, weeks, months and annually. This is done to achieve the core mandate of a production engineer which is optimization of oil and gas ?? and most especially to cut down cost. My one month of internship at GNPC has been an impactful one and memorial ??. I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible opportunity to intern at Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO) It has been an enriching and transformative experience for me. I'm leaving the internship with a deeper understanding of the process and a greater sense of confidence in my abilities. This experience has inspired me to pursue a career in and I'm excited to continue applying the lessons I've learned. The internship covers: ? Introduction Gasco (Egyptian natural gas company) is a company that receives feed from several oil fields in the western desert of Egypt and processes it into LPG, condensate, and ethane plus. Feed inlet requirements: - There are certain requirements that must be met by the companies that run the oil fields in the western desert. ? Dehydration process 1) Dehydration by refrigeration 2) Dehydration by absorption ? Refrigeration area The cycle must be always ongoing and is fuelled up by a pressurized liquid that operates at a very low temperature (propane). The cycle is divided into several parts: compression, expansion, evaporation, and condensation. The main goal of this cycle is to decrease the gas’s temperature to around –37 degrees Celsius. ? Absorption tower: The absorption process depends on several effects: 1) Surface area of contact. 2) Contact time. 3) The quantity of both gas and liquid. 4) The concentration of the material to be absorbed 5) Cooling Grade 6) Tower pressure used in the absorption process ? Distillation Which is used to separate a range of ingredients into different products suited to several consumers by applying the boiling degree difference theory of different compounds when stabilizing pressure

I am pleased to share that I have completed my summer internship in the field of mechanical engineering??, which took place at the General Petroleum Company (GPC ) ?????? ?????? ??????? at the site (??? ???? - ??????? ??????? - ??? ) . ?? Training content: ? We learned about the different types of pumps, how they work, the components of each type, and the situations in which each type is used. ? We visited the engineering workshop, where we got detailed information about diesel engines, their components, how they work, common malfunctions, and how to fix them. ? After that, we visited the area of the large turbines and took a look at the heavy equipment used on-site. ? Additionally, the site engineer provided a brief explanation of how petroleum materials are extracted from the ground, along with safety and precautionary guidelines. In conclusion, I would like to thank the General Petroleum Company for this valuable and beneficial training experience.?? #petroleum #mechanicalengineering #summertraining
