If you are 30 or older, can you please help me out? I'm giving a talk to university students about life and career advice for their 20s. I want to give them real, actionable points to work with. Could you please leave me one line of advice from your own experiences? Something you wish you'd known sooner? Maybe something that surprised you, or something you have had to learn to move forward. Currently, a lot of them feel like this tweet- let's change that! Thankyou in advance!
Here’s my bit “ stay true to your values and do not compromise your integrity for a short term gain “ .
GO WITH THE FLOW: It's okay to not have your 5 year plan ready for you. Flow with the opportunities that come. Take calculated risks yes, but also do not overthink or stress too much. Its all going to work out for the best.
It's okay to take your time figuring out your passion. I started undergrad at 24 and my doctorate at 33, and I am deeply driven by what I study. I couldn't have predicted at age 18 that AI would grab and consume me. But it did and it continues to do so and I now have a path to follow for the foreseeable future.
