Don’t make this content marketing mistake ? Often when i work with B2B clients they are using messaging/verbiagethat makes sense to them and creating content to drive “sales” but at the end of the day it’s about your ICP and what they are searching, how they are digesting content, and how we can create to get their attention. When building content strategy keep this in mind because what you don’t want to do is hinder your efforts because you’re only thinking about you and not them. Try this, this week: Speak with your audience ask them, ask your customers, research what is being questioned around your industry. (Key you’re building community while also building the right content by doing this)

14 years in, here are some of my core beliefs about content marketing: ?? Access to information and ideas can change lives for the better—this is content at its best. ?? Creating content doesn’t entitle you to attention—you have to *earn* attention. ? Most B2B brands focus on blending in rather than standing out, which is why content fortune favors the bold. ?? Everything you put out either strengthens or dilutes your brand. Think about this every time you hit the Publish button. ?? Content rarely succeeds in a vacuum. It performs best when it’s integrated with other marketing channels and product initiatives. ?? You can't expect mind-blowing results when you're investing the bare minimum. This doesn't work anywhere else in life so why do you expect it to work with content? ? There are no content marketing emergencies. Prioritize thoughtfulness over false urgency.
