The?The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV)?and?Ring?(an Amazon company) this week announced the third year of the Ring Donation Program for Domestic Violence Survivors ?????? ? In 2021, we heard how Ring?products?were one of the most requested pieces of technology for survivors of domestic violence.?To date, we’ve donated over 30,000 Ring devices, including a Ring Home subscription plan for each device, to over 600 domestic violence organizations across the country (including Tribal organizations and U.S. territories like Guam). I'm very proud of this work and excited to renew and expand this program in 2025. Eligible domestic violence nonprofit organizations across?the country?can receive up to 48 Ring devices, including Ring Home subscription plans, while supplies last. ? "talk the talk and walk the walk" in business management emphasizes the importance of aligning one's words with actions. Leaders and managers are expected to articulate a vision, strategy, or values clearly while also demonstrating their commitment through consistent actions. This alignment fosters trust and credibility among employees and stakeholders, as it shows that leaders not only advocate for certain principles but also embody them in their decision-making and behavior. Hello Friends, Fellow Veterans, and Business Associates, This is the reason why it's so challenging for legitimate veteran non-profits to get funded and carry on with their important missions to actually help veterans with their needs. We must identify the ones who are actually doing the great work and support them 100%. Conversely, those organizations that are hoodwinking their supporters and doing something else with the donations than legitimately helping veterans must be identified and put out of business. My Favorite Projects, Part 1 -- My Love for Non-Profits Back in 2013 I started to work with a non-profit organization in Kokomo, Indiana during my time at Verizon. Verizon had an outstanding program for NP's that allowed them access to technology that, previously, had been outside their reach financially. I was able to see, first hand, the benefits of giving those tireless workers a world-class solution at a price that made it affordable. Fast-forward to 2019 when I started work as an integrator. Reached back out to them, and sure enough, they had a need as well. Multiple buildings that needed access control and surveillance, and one of them was a domestic violence shelter. I designed a high-end surveillance and access control system for that building and got it deployed. It took some time, it took some grant-funding, but we got it done. My goal was simple: Make those residents feel safe, that they had one less thing to worry about in their lives. Providing a high-end solution, having the patience to see it through from start to finish, and seeing those results? I get chills when I think about it. Still committed to providing those solutions, and I'll do it again in the future. #surveillance #accesscontrol #nonprofit

“I wish we could buy these soldiers a beer...” That was the very simple (and quite Aussie) thought we had 2 years ago when discussing a brief to help the families of Australian veterans. This Remembrance Day we launched the Legacy Tap at scale across pubs in Sydney – devices that allow people to symbolically buy a fallen veteran a beer – and in turn raise money for their families left behind. The Legacy Tap has spent the past 12 months being tested in the real world, to ensure our full-scale rollout comes with an intuitive user experience for pub goers and maximum donations for Legacy. Modernising a donation mechanic could have been the start and end of this project, but creating an inseparable bond between experience and emotion, through every touch point from product design to film, truly proves the power of creativity. Because of generous donors like you, the VMLC was able to make a meaningful impact so far in 2024: 348 Grants Issued during the year as of Veterans Day 2024 Nearly $300,000 of total financial support provided to Arizona Veterans! 135 Evictions Prevented, 70 critical auto repairs, 132 essential utility payments made Veterans Supported: 28% Served in the Global War on Terror (Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, New Dawn) 25% Served in the first Gulf War 17% are Vietnam-era Veteran 28% are Peacetime Veterans Over 55% of our veterans supported are rated with a 50% or more Service-Connected Disability The Veterans Medical Leadership Council (VMLC) exists to provide agile aide to Stop the Spiral. We support Arizona Veterans by providing grants that address financial risk to key social determinants of health. These grants cover validated financial burdens to verified veterans who are working with the Department of Veteran Affairs Social Workers. Funding is paid directly to the financial source and never to the individual Veteran. By contributing to the VMLC, you can be confident that your generous donation will be directly applied to improving the lives of Arizona Veterans. Our Average Veteran Grant is $819. That's critical financial aid to support things like utilities, mortgage payments, or critical home or auto repairs.
