Employee burnout is real. I've experienced it, I've seen it on teams that I've run, and I was recently talking to someone I am coaching about the issue. We talked about how to manage it via workplace culture and the vacation policy, and she shared a novel idea with me that I found fascinating: she planned to hire a professional therapist facilitator to speak to her employees in a mandatory session about employee responsibility in avoiding burnout.
