?? How to ensure more comfortable keeping of chickens at a poultry farm? ? Modern approaches to the issue of more comfortable housing of #animals on farms and #poultry farms rely on housing systems that meet the needs of livestock; At the same time, animal-friendly feeding, along with a favourable microclimate, has a beneficial effect on the well-being of your animals. ? At the same time, one should not forget about the entrepreneur himself, because such factors as profitability and acceptable labor intensity of the work carried out in the building play an important role in everyday life. ? For this reason, Big Dutchman AG relies on well-thought-out technical solutions that combine favourable animal welfare and efficient housing equipment. ? However, no complex is like another. ? At the AgroWorld Uzbekistan 2025 exhibition, the company's specialists will offer an individual concept of technical equipment for your production!?

With changing weather and rainfall creating ideal conditions for flystrike, the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) urges sheep producers to stay vigilant. Signs like animals separating from the mob, reduced grazing, or discolored wool should prompt immediate action, including shearing affected areas and using registered chemical treatments. At Qwerty Experts, we understand that proper livestock transport is crucial for minimizing flystrike risk and overall animal welfare. Our innovative solutions, such as Qcareconnect, help livestock producers maintain the health and safety of their animals during transit by monitoring conditions like temperature and humidity to reduce stress and prevent infestation. More info on managing flystrike can be found on the DPIRD website & www.qwertyexperts.com. #AnimalWelfare #SheepFarming #LivestockTransport #Flystrike #QwertyExperts #Qcareconnect

Grazing land management including rehabilitation, is emerging as one priority animal nutrition intervention sector for most smallholder communal livestock farmers. The rangeland is rendered non productive by invasive species, bush encroachment or simply because it is very degraded. Action needs to be taken to rehabilitated the affected grazing lands or better manage the available grazing land.

Apart from the appreciation for the solid work you are doing with Biocheck.UGent BIOSECURE to improve the health of livestock and drastically reduce the use of antibiotics, I would like to draw your attention to a persistent misunderstanding in the academic world. In particular that livestock farming emissions would have a major impact on climate change. Livestock farming has NO influence on the climate, the volume of livestock is not large enough for that! Painfully embarrassing for the Danish government and its advisory scientists when they impose extra burdens on hardworking citizens for the wrong reason. Source scientific article: https://lnkd.in/eZrGdgJE Total global livestock production is only 0.02% (2 ten thousandths) of the total global biomass. Even though 70% of the plant material consists of woody parts that do not participate in the carbon cycle. (Unless CO2 is released by forest fires) Nevertheless. WHAT IS ALMOST NOTHING IN RELATION TO THE REST, CANNOT HAVE MUCH INFLUENCE!! Blaming livestock farming, and more specifically its even smaller fraction, cattle, for its emissions and impact on climate change is downright ridiculous. With the exception of plants, most organisms "breathe" or consume O2 and produce CO2. There is seven times more volume of fish in the sea. There is ten times more volume of insects. The termites alone produce more methane than all the cows combined. The total volume of organisms that produce CO2 is almost a thousand times greater than the total livestock production. BUT, with a trade-off of 120 to 140 kg of methane (part of the carbon cycle), a good dairy cow produces 750 kg of butter and cheese, and ultimately at least 250 kg of meat. In this way the cow captures and fixes a large amount of carbon in the food it produces. Who does better? CO2 and methane emissions from livestock are part of the carbon cycle and come from the CO2 in the atmosphere that plants use to grow. In the long term, cows do not contribute to an increase in greenhouse gases. On the contrary. They capture a large amount of CO2 that is stored in the production of milk and meat and also in the soil through the use of manure. The net increase in carbon (C) in the atmosphere is solely due to the use of fossil fuels. The 50% higher CO2 concentration in the atmosphere makes plants grow faster, increasing the total plant biomass, but also water evaporation. General knowledge is a problematic issue for many scientists. (Experts: know a lot about very little) Lack of overview and tunnel vision among scientists and government has already caused us (farmers) a lot of misery. The Danish tax on livestock emissions is the latest act of madness. The Flemish Covenant on Enteric Emissions, perhaps designed with the best intentions, also ultimately does not make any difference. The nitrogen problem in the Netherlands and Flanders belongs to the same madness category, but based on lies and deception.

Fivestock & Better Choices are partnering to help improve animal welfare in the livestock industry. Better Choices takes a common-sense approach to improving #animalwelfare and acknowledging producers that use best standard practice. All livestock producers want is to have happy productive animals, why not show how we look after them. Welfare credentials linked to our livestock will strengthen the relationship between producer and consumer, here and abroad. Australian livestock producers use best practice, Better Choices will help you prove it. One of the five sectors of Fivestock, is improving animal welfare. All livestock sold on our platform travel straight from farm to processor. Animals will have less stress over a shorter period compared to the physical sale yards, resulting in a better product. Better Choices and Fivestock both work towards a better life for livestock. Michael Patching Robert Fraser Tom Mahony David 'DJ' Jochinke Michael McCormack Anna Speer Leah Weckert
