?? Exciting Announcement! ?? On February 8th, 2025, I’ll be stepping onto the iconic TED stage in Providence to deliver a talk that’s deeply personal, yet universally resonant. I would be honored if you joined me on this day. But before that pivotal moment, I want to share a bit about how I got here. Nearly a year ago, my leadership coach posed a challenge that caught me off guard—"Why not do a TED Talk?" I said I’d think about it, but here’s what I didn’t say out loud—I was afraid. It wasn’t the public speaking I feared. I’ve spoken to audiences before. What I feared was falling short. What if my words didn’t land? What if my message wasn’t compelling enough? My fear wasn’t rooted in ability but in a limiting mindset I’d come to know well—all-or-nothing thinking. If it wasn’t perfect, I told myself, it would be a failure. Here’s the thing—I’ve seen this same distortion in so many of the community and social impact leaders I’ve coached through the years. Often, these fears stem from the wounds we’ve carried throughout our lives. But over time, I’ve learned that our wounds hold immense wisdom. They don’t just define us—they teach us. And when we choose to lean into healing, those very wounds can lead us to our greatest growth. I’m deeply grateful to Dr. Froswa' Booker for guiding me as I explored my relationship with these wounds and chose the tough but rewarding path of healing. On that TED stage, my hope is to inspire anyone who hears my words to rethink their own stories. To see their wounds not as burdens, but as sources of wisdom. To use the lessons within those scars to ignite healing and purpose. If you’ve ever wrestled with self-doubt or battled the weight of perfectionism, this talk is for you. If you aspire to transform pain into power, this space is for you. I hope to see you there. I can’t say enough about how amazing the Multarity Project is and how much it has impacted me in a beautiful and absolutely positive way. It’s hard to describe and hard to understand until you’ve participated in a session built around conversations and different, sometimes opposing, points of view. It didn’t change my beliefs for myself but it 100% softened me to others points of view which has impacted my relationships with my children, family members (the hardest ??), coworkers, other drivers on the road ??……..etc. The best way to explore how this project can be applied to yourself, projects including other people, divided board rooms, politics, hot topics in your sphere of influence, is to simply contact Dr. Carlson and and ask how this could make a difference for you. The possibilities are limitless!!

Recently, I had the pleasure of delivering my first TEDX Talk, titled “Creative Destruction: How to Innovate in your Daily Life”, together with my good friend and classmate Keval D. Amin. Creative destruction, a term first coined by the economist Joseph Schumpeter, refers to the process by which new innovations replace older technologies. Destruction is usually a negative term, but here, it’s the first step to construction. So, when applied to our daily lives,?creative destruction can be self-discovery, wherein the more we learn about ourselves, the more we innovate new systems that work for our productivity and well-being. We chose this topic because we thought it perfectly fit this year's theme “It’s a marathon, not a sprint”. Of course, we?tried to make our speech both relatable and insightful using anecdotes and learned lessons. The result : me explaining why I got two tattoos (sorry mom??) TEDx Update -- We're so close! I learned today that it's likely going to be a few more weeks to a month or so before my TEDx will be live to the world. I am so excited to share it with everyone -- even if one person just smiles or gets a giggle... Totally worth it! One of the organizers of the conference made this amazing cinematic movie trailer! It is such a great teaser for when the video comes out. I'm going to have a watch party and then have an open-ended Zoom call where any of you can literally ask me anything! No topics off-limit and let's have some fun with this. I will be hosting a watch party with my fellow TEDx Speaker Michael Clegg who's video will also be coming out and we will have some great fun with it!
