Dear event planners and managers, do you have a team or you run things how you like? The best thing an event planner can do is to have efficient and effective team. A few people prefer to work solo because they would rather bask alone in the glory of a job well done than share it with people. At most, they contract people along the way and drop them along the way also. But you'd be making a grave mistake as an event planner if you don't have a team on standby at all times. If you have to keep contracting new people for each event, your success rate will be on a 'hit or miss scale'. Your event might be a hit or a big miss! This isn't to say you can't try out new businesses granted they've been given good reviews, but if you don't have a set of people that you're always in business with, you're running your business solo. Put a team together today. It'll save you the stress of looking for new people to work with all the time. Send this to any event planner you know!

Be proud of what you do! Share with people you are an event planner! You never know when you will run into someone who might have a job for you, a space to execute events, something you can add to existing events to make them more unique and different or give you an idea for an upcoming event. I bet you didn’t know this.. Event planning and management are different roles. Let’s understand how ?? Roles of an event planner : → Deciding the event’s theme and decor → Finding and booking a venue → Curating the menu and booking a caterer → Managing logistics for attendees, etc. Roles of an event manager : → Marketing the event for promotion → Creating contingency plans for unexpected or last-minute issues → Overseeing employees responsible for varied parts of the event management process → Attending the event to ensure it runs smoothly, etc. While some roles may overlap, they are distinct inside-out.
