This past week in my Global Entrepreneurship course, we had a guest speaker George Ow. Jr discuss his and his family's entrepreneurship experiences as Chinese Immigrants/ Chinese descent. He discussed his grandfather's, Lam Pon, story from how he immigrated to China and became a successful business partner in the supermarket/grocery store industry and real estate. Listening to his family's legacy and the sacrifices all his relatives made to adapt and succeed in business was nothing less of remarkable and encouraging. Not only providing us business advice for the future, but also giving us hope that anyone can be an entrepreneur. Overall, George Ow. Jr is an amazing guest speaker, and helped us gain insight on real life business experiences. Below is a brief list of the advice he provided us in terms of entrepreneurship (specifically real estate) and life in general. 1. See something others do not, see how you could transform nothing into something valuable. 2. We are building for the future generations. 3. Knowledge is power and you control how much you know. 4. Help people and be generous. 5. Have interests and activities beyond business. 6. Take care of your family and friends.

Softina was once an idea and a dream. Over the years, the idea evolved and the dream became a reality. However, it wasn't easy and required facing many challenges and working hard to overcome them.
