The interior of the High Country patient care unit is moving right along thanks to the crew at Greene Construction! Scroll for some amazing progress shots! Capital Campaign Co-Chair, Evalyn Pierce, and her family didn't know the impact a hospice patient care unit would have until they needed one in 2019. When curative options were exhausted for Evalyn's father, Will Pierce, the family chose hospice care and began the logistics of his move to a hospice patient care unit. Due to limited hospice patient care unit options near Boone, Evalyn's father was admitted to AMOREM's patient care unit in Valdese. The family immediately felt at peace with their decision. They were thankful for the compassion and support shown to Mr. Pierce and the entire family. This experience inspired Evalyn to join in the mission of bringing a patient care unit to the High Country in her father's memory. A local facility will bless families with the gift of time- reducing time spent traveling and increasing precious time spent with loved ones. Will you partner with Evalyn and AMOREM to bring a hospice patient care unit to residents of the High Country? To learn more or to make a gift to the Quality. Compassion. Support.
