Urgent Action in Afghanistan: Following a devastating landslide triggered by heavy snowfall and rain in Nooristan Province's Noorgram district, Al-Imdaad Foundation responded on the ground with shelter support interventions for affected households. Approximately 25 people lost their lives with 40 homes damaged or destroyed. Let’s unite in prayer for lasting peace and stability in Sudan and for the children at Our Father's Cleft (OFC) in LUV’s anti-trafficking network. Amidst recent concerns on the security of the nation, OFC has had to begin re-digging foxholes on their compound in case aerial bombardments resume. Just two years ago, these foxholes were being repurposed for peaceful purposes, such as gardens, housing underground water tanks, or as spots for burning scraps. As revealed by #UNHCR cluster Somalia Dashboard, drought continue to force people to flee their homes, with an estimated 2.9 million people being internally displaced across Somalia. With the support from USAID - Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance for Humanitarian Assistance, Acted contributes to camp management through CCCM interventions (Camp Coordination and Camp Management) to support the displaced people. This programming helps to improve the quality of life in the camps, through access to basic services, cash distributions, construction or rehabilitation of WASH assets. ?? This #WarehouseWednesday takes us to Port Sudan, inside one of the busiest warehouses in #Sudan. The ongoing conflict has resulted in the world’s largest hunger crisis. So far this year, the World Food Programme supported 4.4 million people, including Internally Displaced People (IDPs), refugees and vulnerable communities.
