Is there anything vague or unclear about how we phrase our requested relief? Because this is our fourth amended disclosures - in response to objections by defendants that we have to be more specific. Except I can’t be more specific because each hole is unique. Unique geology. Unique drilling and completion histories. Unique operations. It’s the best estimate we have. And it certainly puts them on notice for what we will present to a jury in Crane in September when this goes to trial. And that’s the whole point of INITIAL disclosures - to put the parties on notice of what we’re actually fighting about.

A Geologist Ruins Everything: 30 Years - 30 Fields in 30 Days 06/30 - 1998 - UKCS Production - Buchan Field In Memoria: Alison Jagger As I recall … I didn't really work on Buchan, I was on Beatrice, but I shared a 2-desk office with Alison Jagger who was the geo on Buchan and it was the most tremendous fun, a genuine pleasure to go to work. We were both equally in the deep-end as production geologists and she helped me and I helped her. Buchan was a proper bonkers field: fractured Devonian sandstone horst that even back in 1998 had produced more oil than could be mapped as STOIIP. Tricky. Very, very tricky. At the same time as the production team were trying to squeeze out more oil, the exploration team was drilling up the onlapping Jurassic sand prospects flanking the horst. Nobody seemed overly concerned with the old "if it ain't broke ..." maxim. Alison died this February, aged early 50s. She'd done her PhD, and then some serious gigs with some serious operators, finishing as Asset Manager in South America. And then she died. We had kept in touch, but barely. Not enough, not nearly enough. And it upsets me. I could have done more, I should have done more. The Lessons: - Keep in touch. Don't let the years pass by. Please. 150MM GEOTECHNICAL CORE BARREL While visiting my colleagues from PTG Group over in Brisbane this week I caught up with Curtis Skinner to check out our Mapstone Geotechnical Services drilling operations. They are doing some great work in the dams space with their fleet of drilling rigs. It was great to chat to Curtis and learn more about our in-house drilling capabilities. Curtis also showed me this core barrel, which provides a 150mm diameter core! It’s a conventional core barrel (not wireline) and the core trays hold a single run. I wouldn’t want to be lifting them all the time! But, there are some great advantages of such a large core barrel: - The soil sample size you get is sufficient to do a whole suite of lab testing - The soil cores are less disturbed leading to better sample quality for advanced geotechnical testing or micro feature identification - Better core recovery in gravels and highly fractured rocks If you have a project that could benefit from a larger borehole, get in touch with me or one of my colleagues at PTG Consulting and make use of our in-house drilling capabilities. #geotechnical #engineering #geology

Viridien, in collaboration with joint venture partner TGS, has announced the successful completion and delivery of final processed data from the multi-client Sleipner Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) project. The Sleipner OBN survey, the second of two dense multi-client OBN surveys acquired in the North Sea in 2023, covers 1,201 square kilometers in a mature region of the North Sea that includes the Sleipner East, Sleipner West, Gina Krog, Volve and Utgard fields, along with surrounding near-field exploration acreage – offering potential tiebacks to existing infrastructure. Conducted between June and September 2023, the survey employed up to three node-handling vessels, three triple-source vessels and additional support vessels. The project recorded approx. 2.8 million shot points into a total of 80,769 node positions. To achieve the survey objectives and produce the highest-quality dataset, Viridien applied its advanced imaging technology, including its latest OBN processing techniques and time-lag full-waveform inversion (TL-FWI), to capture subsurface detail at all depths. The imaged data shows substantial improvement in resolution and structural clarity over previous datasets, offering crucial insights into the region’s complex geology and reservoirs. This enhanced imaging, including depth-time conversion, will be valuable to explorers operating in the area for years to come. The Sleipner OBN project, available now, is supported by industry funding.
