?? Excited to share our latest research, "Dynamical Systems for Remote Validation of Very High-Resolution Ocean Models", published in Nonlinear Dynamicsc and co-authored with Ana Maria Mancho, Antonio González Ramos, Josep Coca, and Jose Antonio Jiménez Madrid. This paper has been a remarkable journey into enhancing the precision and applicability of ocean models through innovative methodologies that we are now exploring at Digital Earth Solutions. ?? ?? Our Study: In this work, we delve into a novel approach for validating high-resolution ocean models using satellite imagery. With the critical role that coastal areas play in our ecosystem, obtaining detailed and accurate data is paramount. However, the challenge has always been the scarcity of in-situ observations, which are limited to selected regions and require extensive resources. ?? Our Solution: We propose an alternative method that leverages remote sensing information, bridging the gap between satellite observations and the outcomes from the Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS). This allows for a diverse range of parameters to be explored without the need for direct, on-site data collection. ??? Why It Matters: This research opens up new avenues for researchers to validate and refine ocean models in coastal areas where data has traditionally been sparse. By establishing connections between dynamical systems and satellite imagery, we can enhance our understanding and predictions of ocean dynamics, supporting environmental monitoring, and sustainable management of coastal resources. ?? We're grateful for the collaborative effort that made this study possible and excited about the potential impact of our findings on the field of oceanography. ?? Exciting new possibilities with geospatial embeddings and geo RAG: paradigms like these are the future of spatial information and spatial intelligence. The world is dynamic though, and we will need to build tools to handle staying up to date with anomalies, emerging events, and changes. I see this kind of geo AI UX for Earth coupled with continuously updating remote sensing data behind the scenes as a bright future for a co-pilot for Earth.
Geo-Embedding arithmetic, a field unlocked thanks to the introduction of globeholder.ai universal embeddings opens up new possibilities, unimaginable prior : ° Given successful store locations in your current stack, where to open in new cities ? ° Which locations in City A are most similar to City B ? ° Without any data on new cities, predict metrics based on the previous ones. ° Geo-RAG: Fully spatially aware RAG pipelines. #geo #embedding #LLM #foundation #geospatial #GIS
