Over the past few weeks, I've had the opportunity to learn the world of i-Tree, a powerful suite of tools developed by the US Forest Service for assessing and managing urban forests. Here's a glimpse into what I've covered: ?? March 20th: Introduction to i-Tree - Understanding the basic science and exploring the various tools. ?? March 27th: Online with MyTree, i-Tree Design, and i-Tree Planting - Exploring user-friendly tools for individual trees. ?? April 3rd: The view from the top - Delving into i-Tree Canopy and OurTrees for canopy cover estimation and monitoring. ?? April 17th: i-Tree Landscape - Navigating data, maps, and equity portal to prioritize areas within communities. ?? April 24th: i-Tree Eco - Exploring the flagship tool for comprehensive tree assessment.

This joint partnership between The Woodland Trust, American Forests and the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare takes into account a range of factors like population, income, health, employment, age, heat and air pollution factors to give a rating out of 100.
