Event day is like game day. If your relationship with teammates, partners, suppliers, and clients are not solid, the cracks will show up in the final, stressful weeks leading up to your event and they will 100% show up on-site on game day. There is certainly going to be issues at your event and you need everyone to be in alignment to properly tackle these issues. Everyone from venue to decor, AV to photographers, they all need to be reading from the same playbook. But they also need to like & trust each other. Leading up to a large event next month, our team is hosting a mixer with all of our partners, vendors, and clients this week. With 30+ days to go until the event (but who’s counting), we wanted to give everyone a chance to meet each other and connect on a human level before the craziness of the next month hits. Is having a few drinks and appetizers going to solve all our problems? No, not if communication, trust building, and respect isn’t there, but it’s one small thing we can do to help create a stronger team when we head on-site. #ASK Event marketers and planners... could you help me out? :) Preparing for our upcoming symposium and our meter board bases are too much to ship with us (5lbs each and we need 20). I have seen the cardboard meter board bases at many events, but the source I found needs to have a 1/2" foam board - ours are 3/16". Already looked at signs.com, nextdayflyers.com, and vispronet.com. Any cost-efficient solutions out there that I'm missing?
