Attn Sales Reps: What does a Doctor, a Private Investigator, and a Best Friend all have in common? They are all inclusive in what a customer is looking for in their sales rep. A Doctor who will never cause them harm, a Private Investigator who will overturn every rock to solve their challenge, and the Best Friend who will not say what is expected, but the hard truth no matter how bad it hurts. So, the Next time you meet with a customer remember to have the customer’s personal welfare (do what is legal IAW the FAR) uppermost in your mind, qualify the requirement by asking those investigative questions, search out the best solution regardless the margin or value added discount, lastly bad news doesn’t get better with time. Own the truth, never jeopardize your integrity, and be the azimuth in which your customer place’s their faith in getting the right solution. #happyhunting

No wonder so many people have medicore sales careers and never quite get what they want from it ! of 348 people 79% "just fell into " their sales careers And 21% pre planned it WOW . One of the key reasons I see a sales career floundering is a lack of a plan . There are others like lack of identity as a sales person , general lack of fundamental platform skills. But I would say many of the other things get fixed with a plan and a set of defineable objectives for what the end point of the career looks like . I reckon if 79% of people didnt plan getting into the game ...they are probably the same people who don't have a plan while they are in it . And the 21% are almost certainly A players . Its the reason we get to charge fees ! because there are lots of sales people out there .....and also lots of drifters , grifters and journeymen who are passing through . What do you think ? The stats are pretty clear ...... ? #sales #ITSales #salesjobs

Let’s just say the average salary for a sales rep is around $60,000, while the average salary for a management executive is around $110,000. The cost of your internal sales team could look like: $60,000 X Team Size + $110,000 + Bonuses + Tools + Health and Retirement An outsourced sales professional, on the other hand, can go for as low as $1500 to $5000 per person. If you outsource, you don’t have to worry about medical insurance or even sales tool subscriptions, depending on your arrangement Read our guide for more tips on outsourcing sales https://lnkd.in/ge-gAhDY

Recruiting for clients in the Northeast (NY, NJ and New England states). Lots of candidates ask: ?"Do you have any client openings down South?" Recruiting for clients in the Southeast. Waiting for the first candidate to ask: "Do you have any client openings in NY, NJ or New England?" Anecdotal evidence on the migration pattern of B2B salespeople. #insurance #insuranceindustry #sales

I’ve had a good amount of Ortho/Sports Med folks ask me about Vascular sales. Here’s a couple points if you’re considering making a switch: - Vascular is less case coverage. Could be 1-2 cases a day or depending on product even just 1 per week, versus 5+ per day every day in ortho - Vascular cases can be less straight forward and patients are sicker so you need to be very locked in 100% of the time. You’re a true asset in the room especially bc depending on what you’re selling, the docs and staff only do a handful of your procedures per year v 5-10+ per week - Vascular territories are usually larger and most times you’re the sole TM versus having a team of TMs with 1 quota - Vascular annual quota increases are usually higher in my exp v Ortho so you can’t just be in cases all day every day, you have to be doing sales meetings every single day and using company resources to help move sales along - Both jobs are very fulfilling. Ortho you get people back to sports and living a healthy lifestyle and out of miserable pain. Vascular you get people out of pain but also you’re helping save limbs, hearts, and lives right in front of your eyes. - If you want to get into Vascular from Ortho, it’s important to be able to share your sales process and specific wins you’ve created on your own v a team effort. Also important to share how you’ll route in larger territory, how you plan to manage solo territory, and important to gain connections with reps and mgrs in Vasc community.
