Fresno Unified School District (3rd largest in the state) is leading the way in #California to increase student access to financial education course. While a new law in the state requires all high schools to offer a personal finance course by the 2027-28 (and require it for the class of 2031), this district is not waiting. Nearly 1,000 students in the district will benefit from a semester-long and full year #personalfinance courses THIS school year! High quality curriculum and professional development will be keys to successful implementation in the state. For those California high school educators looking for curriculum, Next Gen Personal Finance is now an A-G approved program for our personal finance and financial algebra courses. In addition, personal finance teachers in California can earn $500 stipends and increase their confidence by participating in NGPF professional development. NEVER WAIT! Too many generations have graduated with ZERO personal finance education and necessary skills to survive in the real world. Bravo, Fresno!
