??? Are Metal Oxide Varistors (MOVs) aging? In other words, is it realistic to consider degradation of your MO Surge Arresters over time? ?? In theory, no. At least when we are specifically looking at the behavior of the MOVs themselves. While there are various aspects to consider regarding the long-term performance and evolution of surge arresters, the latest research and publications on modern MOVs clearly demonstrate a decrease in power losses over time. Power losses are associated with resistive current, an indicator of MOV degradation. ?? CIGRE 696 provides detailed information in section 3: LONG TERM AGEING OF METAL OXIDE RESISTORS. The invention of MOVs in the 1970s revolutionized surge arrester technology by eliminating the need for series gaps. This, however, exposed MOVs to continuous voltage stress, necessitating a method to evaluate their life expectancy. Despite initial instability in early MOVs, ongoing improvements have resulted in modern MOVs that demonstrate stable, often decreasing, power losses over time. This paper presented a high isolation antenna which offers dual-polarization monopulse beam patterns, making the design suitable for polarization diverse or #full-#duplex (#FD) systems. The single-layer structure is defined by a network of 2-D sub-arrays oriented in a cross-shape configuration using series-fed slots in #substrate #integrated #waveguide (#SIW) technology. Also, the proposed design exploits dual-differential feeding to achieve a ?10 dB impedance matching #bandwidth (#BW) from 23.2 GHz to 25.4 GHz, and measured isolation values are more than 70 dB (peaking to about 90 dB) over this same operating range.
