An important watch if you are someone (like me) who has given up on understanding the algorithm and is going back to creating stuff that I want and that I love. The internet is changing all?? the??time?? We can’t control it, no one does, but what we do have control over is what we share and what we create that adds value and inspiration to the people who started listening (or following) us for those things from the start. Stop creating for the algorithm and start creating what you love again. #creatoreconomy #influencerschool #createwhatyoulove #contentstrategy

Our founder Becca Wenning had the opportunity to talk about the importance of proper messaging at Columbus AI Week Women in Tech and AI Breakfast as she builds and prepares to go to market with Dressit. There were many conversations around AI / machine learning and its role in business felt more relevant than ever. It’s clear that consumers, employees, and small business owners share a common fear - one rooted in not fully understanding AI and its potential. That’s why it’s critical to get the messaging right for your customer. Our platform is built on the premise that human connection should always come first. By leveraging technology to streamline the shopping process, we empower brides to discover dresses they love while driving them to local boutiques where they can experience that magical moment of trying on the wedding dress in person. Listening to other insightful panels, reminded us of the delicate balance we must strike as startups. Keeping AI and machine learning internal while reassuring investors that we’re harnessing its full power. It’s all about walking that fine line and building trust on both sides. #startup #weddingtech #innovation #machinelearning

Hey everyone, Just wanted to share a little nugget from what we do at NOMAD SCOOL. Right now, out of all the side-income streams I teach, Amazon reviewing is a golden opportunity. It's the easiest way to make a side income that I've discovered so far. Even if you’re just working a couple of hours a day, you can easily pull in $500-$1000 a month. And that’s just the bare minimum. The best part? No need to show your face, no need for thousands of followers, and definitely no need for a fancy camera—your phone will do just fine. Amazon Influencing isn’t any harder now than when I started. In fact, it’s the best time ever to get into it. But heads up, it could become saturated in a few months, and it might not be as easy to make that $500-$1000/month. This is just one of the many income streams I teach at Nomad Scool. I personally know influencers who make five figures a month using these strategies. If you’re interested in learning more about how to earn while living the digital nomad life, let’s chat! In today's digital landscape, a large number of followers on social media doesn't automatically equate to revenue. As Jack Conte highlighted at SXSW 2024, the current internet algorithms have fundamentally changed the game for creators, making traditional "followers" less valuable than ever before. Creators with millions of followers might still struggle to monetize their content effectively. Conte reminds us that while the internet originally democratized creative distribution, these algorithms now make it increasingly difficult for creators to reach even their most loyal fans without paying to play. Given this reality, it's crucial for brands and creators to focus on developing their own social ecosystems—spaces where they have direct control over their audience interactions and data. This shift ensures that they’re not at the mercy of ever-changing algorithms and can build sustainable, long-term relationships. For CMOs, the next three years should be about moving beyond follower counts. Focus on fostering genuine engagement, creating valuable content, and building communities within your own ecosystem that translate into real-world support. What strategies are you developing to navigate this evolving landscape? ?? https://lnkd.in/dTnYEu_8

This is a fabulous presentation by Jack Conté, CEO of Patreon, on the evolution of shifting engagement and behavioral trends online between followers and content creators. Due to social media platform’s ranking algorithms, which are constantly being designed to suit business profitability through maximizing watching time, creative output is forced to be in the favored format of the ranking algorithm. Jack says as social apps evolve, ranking algorithm models work against creative’s ability to build authentic connections with fans, especially when he compared it to the way Web 2.0 used to work in the 2000’s (before Facebook’s ranking algo). He says we are only in the beginning stages of feeling the negative effects of “the weakening of creator lead communities” of distribution channels to fans, and that while its a macro problem actively being addressed “this is a hard change to navigate for anyone who’s posting stuff online and trying to build community and business.” … I’d like to add, there is endless evidence that these algos are also designed to exploit sensationalized emotions, vapid desire and consumerism, and promote distractions from positive experiences in the real, physical world like actual community building. this is so inspiring and insightful. https://lnkd.in/eM3eAE34
