Exciting to see padel "booming" as the Daily Mail writes it... I believe there are three things that are needed in priority to push padel forward in the UK: (1) more courts and specifically more that are INDOOR (2) a robust junior programme (ping LTA) -- including into schools (3) attracting good quality coaches who REALLY know the game After that, we need to cultivate and support the talent that is able to compete at the highest levels.
Is Padel 'the new Pub' for Brits? Padel is the sport that’s got Britain talking. The UK has a proud racket sports heritage, and the arrival of padel as a fun, social lifestyle choice for thousands of Brits is further proof of that. With courts in the UK being used over 8 hours per day, Brits are falling in love with padel - it’s become a lifestyle choice, just like a visit to the local pub has been for decades! 2025 will be e a transformative year for the growth of the UK’s Padel community. Thank you Tamara Prenn Tamara Prenn?and the DailyMail.com team for highlighting the surge in #padel that’s already on its way to the UK – and these fascinating @Playtomic numbers on the growth of the sport.? Here's a question for you: what and where is the most ???????????? #padel club in the U.S.? Is it one of the several Padel Haus locations in Brooklyn? Or maybe Sensa Padel's sleek new home in Nashville? Or the soon-to-open Ballers club -- which is located in a former power plant just outside Philly? Or perhaps it's one of the ultra-lux offerings from Reserve or Brisas.us in New York or Florida? Or Whitney Kraft's one-court club at the Brook Bound Inn in Vermont? Or even a club with a stunning views in the SF area like Park Padel or Bay Padel? For my money it might just be the The Heights Racquet & Social Club in Minnesota (which earlier this year was actually featured on an episode of Good Morning America that explored the exploding popularity of padel here in the U.S.). For one thing, as I discussed with their GM and fellow #squash player and enthusiast, Sheldon Vaz, to my knowledge, The Heights is currently the only publicly accessible #racketclub in the entire world that features padel, #pickleball, and BOTH singles and doubles squash courts. But to get a real sense of everything that makes The Heights so unique -- and the epitome of what I believe padel communities and clubs in the U.S. should look like -- I'd urge you to read through our just-released feature article below?? If you find it enjoyable, I'd further ask that you please ? to help spread the word. ???? ?? ?? The Miami Women’s Padel League ?? A League for Women, by Women ?? This month, I launched the Miami Women’s Padel League, and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s been incredible to see women in Miami embrace padel, and now, they’ll have a league of their own to showcase their skills, connect with others, and grow the game. This league isn’t just about matches or competition. It’s about creating a space for women to thrive, both as athletes and as a community. Miami is already a hub for padel, but I hope this league takes things to the next level—making the sport more visible and inspiring even more women to pick up a racket. The best part? This is only the beginning. My dream is to see women’s padel in the U.S. take its place on the global stage, and the Miami Women’s Padel League is the first step. Take a look at the Cage 91 exclusive, diving into what the Miami Women’s Padel League is all about, why it matters, and how it’s set to transform women’s sports in the U.S.! https://lnkd.in/gQFEgRku #WomensSports #MiamiPadel #6LoveSports @6lovesports @padel22 United States Padel Association (USPA) RacquetX @cage91 Anglo-American Padel Cup

Why are Padel Events and Tournaments essential ?? As Padel’s growth settles in the future, it is crucial that there will be regular tournaments/events for players of all abilities in order to keep the community engaged ?? Why? ???????? They enable collaboration between brands/people that may not happen otherwise. At Golden Point Padel UK, I have been lucky to work closely with a wide range of brands such as Padel Corner, Pizzarova and Lost and Grounded Brewers Ltd! ???????? Events give players something to work towards/look forward to as they can visit a new centre, meet new players and show off their Padel! Competitive Events will motivate players to constantly improve their game whereas Social Events provide players with a fun (yet structured) way of playing. Pepita Stonor is a prime example of how events have helped build a community at Empower Padel ?? Challenges? ?? ??? One thing Ben Harris and I have noticed is the challenge of trying to find events or information on events, so The Padel Directory have built a one of a kind event calendar that will cover all bases from social events through to professional level tournaments such as the Hexagon Cup! For me, I hope that venues (that do not already) begin to recognise the importance of external tournament providers where the maximum effort can be put into running a well structured, successful day for everyone involved! Interested to hear thoughts on where you see the future of events in Padel going ??
