??? Celebrating 2 ? Years of Commitment to ESG! ??? It’s hard to believe that it’s been 2 ? years since we made the conscious decision to deepen our commitment to our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy and welcomed the incredible Kathryn Beaumont to our team. This journey has been transformative, not just for our organisation, but for me personally. Building our PGL Beyond ESG strategy is of paramount importance to me because I believe that businesses have a crucial role in shaping a sustainable future. It’s not just about compliance or ticking boxes; it’s about making a meaningful impact on our communities and the planet. Every step we take toward sustainability is a step toward a better world for future generations. Over the past 2 ? ?years, we have learned so much from transitioning from having no strategy to creating one that aligns with our core purpose. As a business dedicated to enriching young lives, it’s only fitting that we consider how we can play our part in ensuring that the younger generation can thrive in a better environment. My personal commitment to this cause goes beyond just implementing strategies. I am determined to take our efforts one step further by engaging our business in the pursuit of BCorp accreditation. This certification represents a rigorous standard of social and environmental performance, and I am excited about the challenge it brings. It’s an opportunity for us to hold ourselves accountable and align our operations with our values. Reflecting on this journey, I’ve learned invaluable lessons about collaboration, transparency, and reminded myself of the power of purpose-driven work. Engaging with our team and stakeholders has shown me that when we unite for a common goal, we can drive real change. I am grateful for the support of my colleagues and the insights we’ve gained together. Here’s to continuing this journey and striving for excellence in our ESG commitments! Sounds like you're approaching B Corp in exactly the right way - it is so much more powerful than a certification. It is a learning and educational framework to help guide what good looks like and provide accountability for putting actions in place and improving from there.
