Very clever but it backfires on you… A LOWBALL OFFER on a house is an offer that is SIGNIFICANTLY BELOW the asking PRICE or market value of the property. A "lowball offer" on a house OFFENDS the SELLER because it is significantly below the asking price, OFTEN PERCEIVED as DISRESPECTFUL to the property's value and CAN MAKE the SELLER FEEL like THE BUYER IS NOT TAKING THEIR HOME SERIOUSLY, potentially leading them to REJECT THE OFFER OUTRIGHT and look for another buyer with a more reasonable price. The DEFINITION of a lowball offer CAN VARY, but it's GENERALLY considered to be at least 10% to 20% below the asking price.
