Nike is OUT OF OFFICE! That’s right, this whole week all of our global corporate offices and manufacturing sites will be closed and our retail and distribution center teammates will get a week’s worth of paid well-being holidays of their choice. I’ve officially hit my 6-month mark at Nike and continue to be impressed and wildly appreciative of my experience thus far. I reflect back to how great it was to be together with our entire global DEI team a few weeks back at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton to set the stage for what will be an incredible DEI journey together! I can’t wait to come back to work but first taking full advantage of #WellBeingWeek by spending a few days at a wellness retreat to reset and re-center and then enjoying my son’s first official week in 1st grade at his new school and be FULLY PRESENT! My work phone, Slack, email and anything related to work is completely shut down and powered off to FULLY DISCONNECT. Thank you Nike for prioritizing everyone’s well-being. #SwooshLife #WellBeing #Wellness
This is a great incentive and practice! Having a full week to sit back and relax, and knowing that not only you but your entire company(!) is doing the same must feel like an incredible relief. I hope this practice becomes the norm, which I guess it will be if companies start seeing the benefits and more start adopting it.
Love to see you prospering my friend. Keep it up and #JustDoIt
Let us know when Nike adopts the full month of August off and joins Europe on holiday =D
Love this! Kudos to Nike for prioritizing the overall well-being of their employees.
Alex Martinez, Absolutely fantastic news! Now we are talking. Thank you for recognizing and rewarding all of your employees and leaders throughout the entire company. I just posted about this topic today. https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/jeffreypmcnulty_i-am-super-excited-to-hear-that-nike-is-providing-activity-6965278372880949248-_wde?utm_source=linkedin_share&utm_medium=android_app
Third world sweat shops too?
Inspiring idea Great job NIKE
First let me say I love this idea on paper. Kudos to Nike. But I’m curious how does it work for the PR folks and others who interact with the public? I don’t imagine a news reporter will be willing to wait a week for a response.

2 年Well being week - this sounds like a really nice benefit. The company also provides paid sabbaticals. Seven years = seven weeks from different posts. Seems to be great incentives to keep employees engaged and dedicated!
