Just reflecting on one of the things I took away last week from the We Run On EOS European conference 2024. As an Integrator the people aspect of my role is fundamental to what we do as we're not large enough to have a HR department. I absolutely loved the piece Christian Goldmann delivered in his talk in respect of 'The Personal Trust Triangle' How authentic are the people we work with. Do they see the real you or do you pretend to be something different to different people. When job hunting my partner often told me to just fake it in the interview to get the job. Going for a senior role can often mean the right personality fit and often you will get to the final two and not make the cut. I'd rather know straight away it's not going to work as I could never be anything but me for more than a day ?? never mind the probation period. Hopefully at Stryde you'll find we all try to be authentic. The team camaraderie is great and we actually enjoy socializing together... always a good test of team spirit. As a leader or prospective leader what part of the triangle do you still need to master. #EOS #stryde #team

Reflecting on a Year at Rizzle June quietly marked my first anniversary at Rizzle [a bit belated in sharing this], a milestone that snuck up on me faster than anticipated. While it's a cliché to say time flies, this occasion sparked a period of reflection. Initially, it led me down the path of setting new goals for the year ahead. However, I paused to consider - is a constant focus on achievement the best measure of progress? Rizzle holds a special place in my career journey. It's where I transitioned into my first full-time role, a baptism by fire that equipped me with invaluable lessons. Looking back, I liken my entry to Rizzle to a wide-eyed puppy, eager to learn and contribute but undoubtedly lacking experience. Joining Rizzle as my first full-time role offered lessons I never anticipated. I felt like a novice navigating a complex world, but looking back, I see two main areas of growth: 1.? ?Personal Growth: Personal growth came from many lessons, the most important of which was understanding priorities rather than balancing them. Admittedly, this came with a learning curve (remember the puppy analogy?). ? I discovered that tackling ten daily tasks might seem productive, but it sacrifices work-life balance. Spreading out the work allowed me to appreciate my role not only as an employee but also as someone who values family, friends, and other aspects of life. 2.? ?Career Growth: Professionally, my role has evolved beyond completing tasks efficiently. While I've always taken pride in delivering high-quality work on time, my focus has expanded to include team functionality. I’ve learned the value of team dynamics and the importance of contributing to the team's overall effectiveness. Transitioning to more supervisory responsibilities, I’ve embraced the role of guiding and motivating my colleagues. Ensuring the quality of our collective work and fostering a positive team environment has been a challenging but rewarding transition. These lessons resonate with many of us, marking shared experiences in professional growth. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities Rizzle has provided, and I look forward to continuing this journey of progress and learning. Introducing.... Name: Eddy Carey Position: Manufacturing Team Lead 1.??????What initially attracted you to join our team? What attracted me to join Terex was not only its reputation both locally and globally, but also how people I’d known from youth had joined and spoken very highly of Terex and went on to be very successful and key players in Terex’s success. 2.??????What is your role in the team and what do you enjoy most about it? I am the Manufacturing team lead in Farlough and the thing that I enjoy most about my role is working with a very close-knit team, and together, taking on and overcoming the challenges we face on a daily basis. ? 3.??????Can you share a memorable team achievement or success story that you were a part of? One of the most memorable success stories that I was a part of was the American launch of the AggreSand in North Carolina. From the planning to the execution, meeting and working with a diverse group of people and ultimately celebrating the success together, it was definitely one of the highlights of my career in Terex. ? ? 4.??????Can you share an interesting fact or detail about yourself we might not know about you? I started playing the guitar a few years ago after spending years wishing that I knew how. Not sure if I felt that life began at 40 or if I was having a mid-life crisis. It’s definitely not as easy as the pros make it look! 5.??????What is your favourite thing to do? I love watching football and rugby and listening to music and podcasts. I’ve followed Juventus for 30 years and days out in Dublin at Ireland rugby games are always brilliant. When it comes to music, those who know me would know that I’m a huge Bruce Springsteen fan! But above all else my favourite thing to do is spending time with my children. ? 6.??????Can you share a favourite travel destination or a place you'd love to visit someday? As a favourite holiday destination, it’s difficult to choose between America and Italy. 2 fantastic countries for very different reasons. New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Indonesia are all on the bucket list to visit someday. ? 7.??????Do you have a favourite quote or mantra that inspires you? “It always seems impossible until it's done.” ? 8.??????What are you career aspirations at Terex? In nearly 22 years I’ve held many positions in Terex. As to what happens next only time will tell! In my own experience, and something that I’ve spoken to many new team members about over the years, is that if you are looking to develop your skill set and further your career within Terex, the opportunities, encouragement and support are there to do so! ? ?

The year has begun. For us it is among many things: our second year with Carmina! ?? I am so happy to have a team and that Carmina is a part of it. She mixed the one year celebration with the year’s first team learning event: the year’s first wrap up, for a project where she had also been a major contributor not giving up on those very weird surface tension and CMC measurements… CR projects are rarely school book examples of how things ”is”, but we use school book truths to understand why. Through this, we guide and help increase quality and robustness in a far from simple reality. The attitude of Carmina to these facts: the real world is more complicated but that does not reduce the value of fundamentals, is what I also celebrated. It is much needed in the time we are living.
