We’re proud to share that AIT Worldwide Logistics' team in Shenzhen, China, recently sponsored the Tianzhijiao Rehabilitation Service Center’s “Empowering Childhood Dreams with Love” event aimed at raising support and awareness for children on the autism spectrum. In addition to touring the facility to gain insights and admire the children’s artwork, a group of volunteer teammates also worked together to create a memorable and enriching day for the kids. Together, they sang, played games, and built crafts designed to foster the children’s social skills, teamwork and creative expression. The event was a prime example of AIT’s core value of engaging in the communities where we live and work. Kudos to the entire team for giving back and making such an impact! #AITCares #EmpoweringDreams #CommunityEngagement #SocialResponsibility #AutismAwareness

So great to see Getafe CF from Spain's La Liga making a powerful gesture supporting autism awareness and neurodiversity acceptance by wearing noise canceling headphones during their match! By wearing headphones, Getafe players highlighted the sensory overload many autistic individuals experience and shed light on the challenges faced by the autistic community. Kudos to Getafe CF for using their platform to raise awareness for such an important cause. Let's continue breaking down barriers and celebrating neurodiversity in sports and beyond. Such initiatives should become more common in sports, fostering inclusivity and understanding across all communities. https://lnkd.in/gEag7hs3

#WorldAutismAwarenessDay is a moment to recognize and celebrate the important contributions of autistic people in every country and community. But around the world, they continue to confront barriers to their fundamental rights to education, employment and social inclusion. Governments must invest in stronger community support systems, inclusive education and training programmes, and accessible and technology-based solutions to enable people with autism to enjoy the same rights as others. Scaling-up support and investment in countries and communities requires working hand-in-hand with persons with autism and their allies. Today and every day, let’s unite to realize their rights, and ensure an inclusive and accessible world for all.?

Every child, regardless of ability, deserves to experience the wonder of the world around them. That's why at our centre, we're committed to providing holistic support for children like Dani, who has been a cherished part of More Than Support for a year now. Dani's journey with autism reminds us of the importance of tailored care and inclusive environments. For children like Dani, nature isn't just a backdrop, it's a sanctuary. Our outings offer him a chance to explore, engage, and connect with the world in his own unique way. It's in these moments that we see the true power of support and inclusion. But our mission extends beyond just outings. It's about creating a safe and nurturing space where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. Through specialised therapies, compassionate care, and a deep understanding of individual needs, we aim to empower children like Dani to thrive. By fostering an environment of acceptance and understanding, we're not just providing support, we're fostering a sense of belonging. Because every child deserves the opportunity to spread their wings and soar. Together, let's ensure that every child, regardless of ability, has the support they need to reach their full potential ???? #supportforall #inclusivecare #autismawareness #ndissupport #ndisproviders

In a quaint town, the Martins, a loving family, faced a unique challenge: their son Lucas, diagnosed with autism, struggled with new environments. Unpredictable settings triggered his anxiety, limiting family outings. Discovering?AbleVu Accessibility, a site where businesses shared detailed, sensory-friendly information, opened a new world for them. They learned about a local museum's sensory-friendly hour through the site. Lucas, prepared with a virtual tour and his noise-canceling headphones, was enchanted by the exhibits in the calm atmosphere. Encouraged, the Martins ventured further, visiting a zoo and a sensory-friendly movie, guided by?AbleVu.com. Each trip was a victory, a moment they once believed unattainable. Businesses on the site continued to adapt, making places more accessible and inclusive, enabling Lucas to embrace new experiences with excitement. The Martins' story, a testament to the impact of accessibility and inclusion, inspired other families, fostering a community of support and understanding.?AbleVu.com?had not just eased exploration but had kindled a sense of adventure and confidence in Lucas, transforming their lives profoundly. *Why We Do What We Do: Jeneane’s Story* You’ve heard us share quotes from students, teachers, and parents who’ve experienced the magic of our workshops. But today, we’re turning the spotlight on our own team—asking them to share their “Why.” What brought them to ATOU? What keeps them here, giving their hearts and energy to something bigger than themselves? Jeneane Stover, our incredible Volunteer Coordinator, shares her personal journey and the powerful reason she’s part of the ATOU family: “My ‘Why’ has always been, and continues to be, changing the way people see individuals who seem different. This began over 20 years ago when ATOU came to my daughter Hanah’s school. Hanah, who has an intellectual disability and is autistic, struggled as a child—sometimes reacting in frustration when she couldn’t communicate or feeling overwhelmed by loud noises. Her delays in processing what was being said often made things even harder. But I always knew if people had the chance to really see Hanah, to understand the amazing, funny, and caring person behind those moments of overstimulation, they’d see the true her. Not the girl they might glimpse from a distance at the mall or playground, but a beautiful soul reacting to a world that doesn’t always make sense to her." Jeneane’s journey with Hanah reminds us all of the deep empathy that can grow from understanding—not just for people with disabilities, but for anyone navigating challenges we may not see on the surface. This is why we do what we do. #ATOUStrong #ATOUFamily #Ignitingrespect #BuildingEmpathy #makingadifference #Disabilityawareness #Changinglives
