Airlines are increasingly going self-service with mobile on the forefront. What can hotels learn from them? Virdee VP of marketing David Schnepp recently saw this sign from American Airlines while at the airport. Airlines have already moved to a kiosk- and mobile-focused model. Even then, it's still important to educated and motivate passengers to increase usage and avoid negative experiences. Similarly, there's no need for hotels to give up if guests arrive at the property without having checked in on their phones beforehand. Pay us £200 cleaning fee but also we need YOU to clean everywhere before you leave... ?? Crazy rules or restrictions. $50 per minute for late checkout (no joke, this is real ??) ??
