Many UK tourists flying to Spain use taxis or airport transfers once they land to get to their hotel and back again at the end of their holidays. All taxis in Spain are required to be registered. However a rising number of unlicensed taxis have popped up at busy airports like Malaga. Using an unofficial taxi service is illegal in Spain and could result in fines of up to 600 euros, or just over ￡500, for passengers caught riding in one. read more at :: https://lnkd.in/ggK4eCGW

I.Q. (Interviewing Quotient) Once I was asked to be co-panellist with the owner/chairman of a travel company for selecting an international ticketing executive for his company. As we were going through a few candidates, among other things, I asked a candidate who claimed that he had done his travel geography (as part of his IATA Diploma) as to how many states there are in USA. When the candidate answered 40 , a visibly annoyed Chairman chided him :" What kind of travel geography you knew! Don't you know the simple fact that USA has 54 states?!" I winced for a second - I couldn't accept his misinformation especially when he was a traveller to USA every alternate year to visit his daughter there but I held myself back from offending him. Shouldn't there be an interview (at least a mini one as a dipstick ) for the interviewer before he sits on the interview to establish his own competency. Supposing the candidate is more informed than he, how the interviewer is going to understand him or assess him or field sensible questions?
