What we're reading: "Latest AI Announcements Mean Another Big Adjustment for Educators" by EdSurge. The article's focal point emphasizes the concept of teaching experts keeping the education and learning experience as human as possible in the midst of AI tools rapidly taking the reins of what once was traditional learning and teaching styles. Major AI companies have unintentionally assigned educators around the world major homework for the summer; which is not news. But if it is, this article is for you, to be up to date and know where to go from here. To learn more, follow this link: https://buff.ly/3RgYBFE

We're thankful for you sharing this work! Video 3 which shares what the research says about "How can generative AI change how we learn?" will be released on May 2. Check out the series at Learn21.org/blog #AI #education Learn21
The folks at Learn21 launched a video series called “Turning Research into Practice: Leveraging Generative AI in K-12 Education,” in which they discuss research related to AI in education. I appreciate the opportunity to keep grounded in research and will definitely be tuning into the many episodes they have planned. "Each video in this series will be grounded in current research and aimed at offering practical advice, theoretical insights, and actionable strategies for educators and administrators looking to navigate the integration of generative AI into educational settings effectively." Here is video 2, in which they cover a mix of research and articles. Here is a research bibliography that I keep bookmarked: https://lnkd.in/eGVT9AVB Via Dr. Stacy Hawthorne https://lnkd.in/eScggzWY

I spent the better part of the school year being reactive to AI instead of proactive, so this is my first read to try to remedy that. Called "a primer for educators....to help prepare [them] to teach in the age of AI" (Shah 2) by the author in the opening chapter, this book promises to begin at the beginning and tell me what I need to know to start to understand just what AI can do for me and my students. If you have a great read or resource for understanding AIs uses and implications in the classroom, please share. #TucTeach #lifelonglearner
