Join MCEA and ask your legislators to support fixing Minnesota's definition of "public waters" to ensure that all waterways in the state are protected. Take Action - https://lnkd.in/gcnCKy_b This legislative session, a bill was introduced to help protect all public waters in Minnesota, which is especially critical now that the federal government has narrowed the definition of waters that are protected under federal jurisdiction. HF 3385 (Pursell) / SF 3558 (Kunesh) are simple, common-sense laws that would put the Minnesota Legislature on record that the current definition of a public water in statute applies to every river, stream, and lake in Minnesota. Public waterways deserve protection even if they are not listed on the "Public Waters Inventory," a 1980's list and map that attempted to document public waters in the state. That inventory is missing hundreds of miles of streams and rivers, which is why this bill is so important. Take action today! https://lnkd.in/gcnCKy_b
