?? Zuckerberg DROPS AI BOMBSHELL: The End of Software Engineers? ?? Mark Zuckerberg’s bold prediction has the tech world buzzing: by 2025, AI could handle most coding tasks, acting as a mid-level software engineer. Does this mean the end of software developers? Not quite. Here’s why: ?? AI Coding Revolution: With AI achieving 62% performance on software engineering benchmarks, tools are advancing at lightning speed. ?? Coding Without Code? Amazon’s cloud chief predicts developers might soon rely on AI instead of traditional coding. ?? Future Demand for Developers: Despite AI’s rise, the World Economic Forum forecasts software engineering will still be one of the fastest-growing fields by 2030. ?? Cost Efficiency Matters: Companies will adopt AI coding systems if they’re financially viable. ?? Collaboration is Key: AI won’t replace engineers but will enhance their ability to create and innovate faster. ?? My Perspective: This is a wake-up call for developers everywhere. The focus shouldn’t be on just writing lines of code anymore—it’s about mastering concepts, solving real-world problems, and building impactful products. Instead of depending solely on tools or resources, we must redefine ourselves as innovators and problem-solvers. AI can automate tasks, but it can’t replace creativity, strategic thinking, or the human touch. As engineers, let’s shift our mindset and prepare to thrive in this evolving landscape. What’s your take—how are you preparing for this AI-driven transformation? ?? #AI #FutureOfWork #SoftwareEngineering #MarkZuckerberg #Innovation #TechTransformation #Coding #ProblemSolving #RealWorldImpact

What Do Software Engineers Think About AI Replacing Their Jobs? #AI #SoftwareDevelopment #EngineeringOpinions #TechCommunity Hey everyone! So, just yesterday, I came across Mark Zuckerberg’s bold prediction that AI will soon be capable of taking on the role of mid-level software engineers, especially in terms of writing code. I must admit, I'm a bit skeptical. My experience with various large language models (LLMs) tells me that we're not quite at that level yet! ?? It got me thinking: why do we keep hearing these claims from CEOs and marketers who may not have a strong footing in the software development world? Often, it seems those touting AI as a "developer replacement" are out of touch with the day-to-day challenges and intricacies of coding. But what do the actual engineers think? ??♂? I’m really curious to know what seasoned developers—those who are knee-deep in code—feel about this situation. Are there insightful perspectives from senior or mid-level engineers about AI’s current capabilities and its future role in software de... Answers:? https://lnkd.in/g3XzMFBG Let's Connect!

The Future of Software and Data Engineering in an AI-Driven World With FANG companies increasingly discussing the possibility of replacing human engineers with AI-powered "AI engineers," it raises a critical question: What is the future of software engineering? Will engineering roles disappear or significantly reduce in number? I believe the future lies in AI-enabled human engineers, where AI takes over a significant portion of the work. This shift will likely result in two key outcomes: 1. The value of top-tier engineers will skyrocket: Highly skilled engineers who can innovate, guide AI systems, and solve complex challenges will become even more valuable. However, expect these roles to be selectively few (under 5/10 percent). 2. The middle and lower-tier engineering roles will transform: A large portion of these roles will be replaced by: AI automation, which will handle repetitive and straightforward tasks. Low-code/no-code engineering, empowering those with a foundational understanding of engineering to create apps and integrate APIs without deep coding knowledge. 3. The quantum of managers, especially people managers, that exist in the engineering space will substantially dwindle, and majority of the roles will pivot to individual contributor roles. This shift could redefine how we think about software engineering careers, skillsets, and education. While the roles may evolve, the opportunity to innovate and create will remain. Unlike what Meta claims, I don't expect AI driven engineering to become mainstream within 2025, but rather over the next 3-4 years. Would love to know what you think about the future of engineering #musings #SoftwareEngineering #FutureOfWork #AI

Okay. Meta is going to run into a GIGO problem. Mid-level engineers don't code, they make code ... work. Senior-level engineers cut codes. I think software engineers spend a lot of their time debugging and kludging solutions - I think that is kind of beyond AI at the moment before you run into 'why TF did the AI do this?' The same as data scientists, most of their time is cleaning up the data, making sure the values align somewhat-ish; the data sleuthing is the easy part - after all, GIGO.

???? ???? ???????????? ?????? ?????????????????????? ???????? – ???????????? ???????? ???? ??????????????. I just listened to Mark Zuckerberg’s interview with Joe Rogan, and one thing stood out: ?? ???? ???? ?????? ???? ?????????????? ?????????????????????? ???????? ???? ????????. ?? The way we build apps is changing. Soon, AI engineers will take over the coding process, doing the work that human developers have been doing for years. The shift isn’t just coming—it’s already happening. With tools like GitHub Copilot and OpenAI's dev assistants, AI is writing, debugging, and optimizing code faster than ever before. What used to take weeks will now take hours, and companies are rapidly adopting these technologies to stay ahead. So, what does this mean for us? ? Should developers pivot to AI-related roles like prompt engineering or AI oversight? ? Will creativity, problem-solving, and innovation remain uniquely human advantages? ? How can we future-proof our skills in this new AI-driven landscape? One thing is certain: the future of engineering will look very different, and those who embrace AI will have the upper hand. What are your thoughts? Are we ready for this change? #ArtificialIntelligence #FutureOfWork #AI #SoftwareDevelopment #CareerGrowth credit: @slow_developer

?? ?????????????? ????????????????, Technical Staff | London-based ?? At agemo, we're researching and developing AI reasoning systems for software. We believe this is the first step to build the future of software creation. From specs to a ready-to-use software solution — software generation, not code generation. After completing the first iteration of an AI system able to turn a spec into a deployed workflow in minutes, we are now building the platform for non-developers to interact and build with that system. No-code, no IDE, drag-and-drop, chat...? The future of AI-native experiences will be a combination of these UX paradigms and new ones that AI capabilities will unlock. ?????? ???????? We're looking for an experienced product engineer who can turn ideas into reality - fast. Someone who gets excited about new problems and exploration while empathizing deeply with the end user. You'll own features from concept to production, working directly with users to redefine how humans interact with AI. ?????? ???????? We are a group of engineers, researchers, and product experts from institutions such the University of Cambridge, école Polytechnique, Imperial College London, and The Alan Turing Institute, complemented by industry experience from Microsoft, Palantir Technologies, Meta, PolyAI and TikTok.
