The Call to Duty Continues: Why Veterans Should Vote Today Veterans know firsthand what it means to serve and sacrifice for our nation, defending the freedoms and rights we hold dear—including the right to vote. Voting is one of the most powerful ways to continue that legacy of service. When you cast your ballot, you’re ensuring your voice is heard on matters that affect you, your family, and your fellow Americans. Many of the issues on today’s ballot impact veterans directly, from healthcare and support for military families to policies affecting national security and veterans’ benefits. By voting, veterans can help shape decisions that honor service members’ sacrifices and support their unique needs. To all veterans: You’ve already served our country once. Today, take a moment to serve again by voting and helping to ensure our democracy stays strong.

Listening to these comments in the video you can see a common thread that “serving others” has AT LEAST a 2-fold benefit……..it obviously benefits the one being served, AND it also benefits the one serving!! Lesson to be learned: it’s always a WIN-WIN to serve.

Veterans with mobility issues through being wounded, injured, illness or age, deserve to be able to travel with dignity, not be manhandked on and off aircraft like a sack of potatoes, risking injury, or death. They deserve to know their wheelchairs will not be damaged during a flight or during loading and unloading. United Airlines had the opportunity to have its replacement fleet accessible but chose not do.
