CocoLife has been awarded a $100,000 grant from CVS Health to improve Black maternal health outcomes. CocoLife, a nonprofit founded by Alexia Omega Doumbouya in July 2019, aims to offer support for mothers through maternal health groups, one-on-one doula visits, and 24/7 doula assistance for mothers until they are 12 weeks postpartum. Keyeriah Miles walked away from a career in fintech to empower women golfers. Spearheader of Ladies Who Golf, a company created alongside her mother, Lashona, Keyeriah has always been interested in sports, playing golf for the past four years. During a meeting at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, while working at Cox Enterprises, co-workers revealed that they had been meeting and cementing deals with clients at a golf course since it allowed for social distancing. “I started golfing not too long after.
