Empowering Men in Tech: A Call for Action In recent years, we have witnessed an extraordinary & inspiring movement where women have come together to empower themselves through groundbreaking initiatives like the Women Techsters Fellowship. Such programs are giving women the tools & confidence to thrive in technology & other industries, closing the long-standing gender gap. It is nothing short of admirable to see the progress they have made & the determination with which they seek knowledge. But as we celebrate this progress, it begs the question: Where are the initiatives for men? The world of technology is highly competitive, & as women continue to break barriers, it becomes increasingly evident that men, too, need spaces to retool, relearn, & upskill. It is not about creating competition but about ensuring that everyone—men & women alike—has access to opportunities that help them grow & contribute meaningfully to society. Today, more women are occupying powerful positions & creating wealth, but we cannot overlook the quiet struggle of many men who feel left behind in this fast-changing world. The rapid transformation in industries like technology, driven by artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, & software development, demands constant learning. Yet, initiatives for men to thrive in this evolving landscape remain scarce. This is a heartfelt appeal to influential and successful men in tech: It’s time to lead a movement that empowers men to stay relevant in today’s tech-driven world. You have the resources, networks, and platforms to create something extraordinary—mentorship programs, fellowship opportunities, or community-driven initiatives that give men access to the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. Imagine the impact of a Men in Tech Fellowship—a program designed to equip men with in-demand skills, foster innovation, and encourage personal and professional growth. Imagine the mentorship it would provide to young men, guiding them to thrive in leadership, entrepreneurship, and cutting-edge technology. This is not about competition between genders but collaboration for a balanced future. As women rise, let men rise too—creating a society where respect, dignity, and opportunities are mutual and abundant. If you are a leader in the tech space or someone with the means to spark such an initiative, the time to act is now. Let’s come together to build a world where no one is left behind, where everyone—regardless of gender—has access to the tools they need to succeed. The change starts with you. Be the inspiration that ignites a movement for empowering men in tech. Together, we can create a more inclusive and prosperous world. To all those who believe in the power of change, let’s make this conversation louder. Share this message, reach out to leaders, and let’s take the first steps toward a better future for men in tech. The future is collaborative. Let’s make it happen. #MenInTech #EmpowermentForAll #FutureOfTech

A few weeks ago, I had the amazing experience of attending the #PerspektywyWomeninTechSummit2024 in Warsaw. The entire conference was incredible, from the dedicated organizers to the companies, academic institutions, and the inspiring public. As a founder, I understand the challenges women face in various industries, and witnessing this community's efforts to promote inclusivity fills me with hope and empowerment. I'm grateful to be part of this vibrant community. At the conference, I discovered some interesting opportunities for those looking to start in the tech industry or those who are hesitant to take the first step in their job search: - 42 Warsaw (https://42warsaw.pl/): An academy that teaches programming through peer-to-peer learning and project work, offering a unique approach that blends teaching and hands-on learning. - Talenti (https://talenti.pl/en/): A platform that supports women in the recruitment process and connects candidates with employers. - Moje Stypendium (https://lnkd.in/d3xuX7yp): A site where you can apply for various scholarships. - Code Your Path (codeyourpath.eu): This foundation helps foreign people in Poland with various needs, including finding jobs in the tech industry. Thank you so much to Magdalena Pozorek for mentoring me! :) There is a 30-second rule that I love to follow when I feel afraid, or I'm taking the first steps in a new direction. Without overthinking, just take 30 seconds to push yourself through it. Remember that you are valuable and smart; you just need 30 seconds of bravery to make it happen! #WomeninTech #Inclusivity #Empowerment #Community #TechIndustry

"?????????????? ????????: '???????? $??,?????? ???????? ????????! ???????????? ???? ?????? ?????????????? ??????????!' ???? '?????? ???????? ??,??????,?????? ?????? ?? ?????????? ???????? ???????? ???????? ????????????!' ????????????’?? ???????? ???????? ?????? ?????????????? ?????????? ???????????????? ???? ?????????" Necta Richard M. recently shared some powerful insights on how we should be marketing tech and STEM careers, especially to young women. We’ve seen how sports betting and other industries attract youth by highlighting big rewards rather than the hard work it takes to get there. This isn’t just marketing—it’s a promise of a livelihood, and it works. Read her article here: https://lnkd.in/ecTTUcJx At UNIAID AFRICA, we believe it’s time to approach STEM education with a similar mindset. The reality is that being a skilled developer or a tech professional does pay well, and with the right skills, young women and men in Tanzania can build rewarding, impactful careers. But the message has to resonate with their needs: financial stability, personal growth, and future security. That’s why, for our upcoming Tanzania Annual 24-Hour Female Hackathon, we’re going beyond the traditional “#coding is #cool” messaging. We’re creating a space where: - Every participant will be awarded just for showing up and giving it their all. - Their ideas won’t end with the hackathon – we’ll support them in turning their concepts into real, successful ventures. - The skills and connections they gain can lead to well-paying jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities. Imagine 100 young #women solving #globalchallenges in 24 hours, knowing that their hard work could lead to something far greater than just a project. This isn’t just about innovation—it’s about transforming futures, providing skills that pay, and building ventures that will outlast the hackathon. We’re inviting everyone #youth, #sponsors, #educators, and #advocates to join us on this journey. Let’s change the conversation. Let’s move from “She can code too” to “Here’s how coding can secure your future!” Are you ready to see what a motivated community of young innovators can achieve?
