CARBON CAPTURE: Vaulted Deep has raised an impressive Series A round of $32.3M to further the advancement of their climate tech, which locks away planet-warming carbon by burying organic waste deep underground. I love these startups that combine seemingly simple tech, to create innovative solutions.
So how does it work?
Vaulted deep takes Carbon-bearing, sludgy, organic wastes (like?biosolids, agricultural & livestock wastes, and paper sludge)?that otherwise would have gone to a landfill, dumped in a waterway, or spread on land to decompose, and then diverts that waste to inject the carbon deep underground. The result is permanent, 10,000+ year, carbon removal.

Since launching, Vaulted has issued more than 7,000 tonnes of durable carbon dioxide removal (CDR), achieving the industry’s fastest and highest rate of deliveries in its first year. With this funding, we'll be able to scale operations at our current facilities and develop new sites to drive even greater, faster delivery.
